Rides Insurance – Good News and a Thank You!

Saturday D Road Ride – 29th August

It’s a bank holiday weekend, YEAY!! So what else but a trip to Cornwall for the D ride.. We’re still allegedly in summer so we’ll leave B&Q at 8am as is the norm for the D ride and head for the Tamar Bridge and the crossing to Cornwall. From here it’s through Hatt and the back lanes to Callington and on to Kelly Bray and the Coads Green road. From here we turn and drop down to Rilla Mill and up and up again to Minions. Saturday A Road Ride – 29th August

Thank you to Chris Oliver for volunteering to lead the A ride this week, his route as follows; We will be taking a trip to the Cornish coast this weekend, taking in the sights at Seaton. Setting off down Embankment cycle path, Barbican, Torpoint for 0945. Antony, Milbrook, Rame then on to Seaton to top up the tan. Home via Narkus, Sheviock, Torpiont. 39 miles. Saturday C Road Ride – 22nd August (Roadford Reservoir)***Weather Dependent***

Hi all Its my week to take turn in leading a ride and back by very popular demand is a return trip to Roadford Reservoir. Which just so happens to be my favourite route but with plenty of climbing; Starting from B&Q we head up Deu’z Alpes up onto Lee Moor / Cadover Bridge / Yelverton / Walkhampton / Horrabridge and then up Jordan Lane. Following a route close to Tavistock Golf club, we then descend down onto Moorshop (Pork Hill road) and climb back up towards Brentor. Fun/Social Ride – Saturday 15th August 2015. This Saturday’s Fun Ride will be led by Justin Whyatt . Meet at 10am at the carpark as you go over the small leat at clearbrook (just about 300m up the hill from the Skylark Pub) Best bring a change of clothes for afterwards as we usually go to the pub afterwards for a Drink/ snack/lunch. Thank you to Andrew Greaves for volunteering to lead the B Ride this weekend, his route as follows; This week route as follows – From HQ we head along the embankment and then take a left towards Plymstock. We follow this road out to Modbury. Once through Modbury we take a right at the top of the hill towards Bigbury. Café stop will be at Bigbury (down by the beach). Thanks to James Cox for his cunning plan for this weeks D ride… With the weather improving, no honest it is, 😉 James thinks we’re overdue a trip to the seaside. So it’s a YOGi favourite and we’re heading for Dartmouth and looping back through Slapton. It will probably be out through Gara Bridge and back through Loddiswell but we’ll see what he’s got planned or make it up on the day in the usual D style! The route should look something like this!
