Saturday Road Ride Leaders

In order for our Saturday Road Rides to take place, we need volunteers to lead. If you can lead a ride or two (or even more) that would be fantastic and we would like to hear from you. C Ride- 30th April

Hi all, This is a bit last minute,but I would rather be out riding than shifting rubble on a sunny day. Leaving B&Q at 09:00, wrangaton to Bucky, climb a past Venford on to the moor. Back to the Foxtor for the cafe stop before heading home. 52 miles. Ian

Saturday Leisure Ride – 30th April

Many thanks to Ski for stepping in at the last minute and offering to lead a leisure ride this week. His planned route is out through Sparkwell and Cornwood and up to Wranagton for a loop of the Erme valley. Thanks Ski and have a great ride all 🙂

Saturday D (and optionally C) Ride – 30th April

Well the rides are looking a bit thin on the ground this weekend so I’ll happily lead a D ride at a steady pace and if no-one comes forward to lead a C ride you’re welcome to join us and we’ll ride at a pace suitable for whoever turns up. 🙂 Please note this ride will leave at the usual D Ride start time of  08:30  As it’s a bank holiday I was thinking of a the scenic route to South East Cornwall, so we’ll head to Yelverton, Horrabridge, Whitchurch Common, Batteridge, Brentor, Gulworthy, Gunnislake, Callington, Tideford, St. Germans, Crafthole, Freathy (cafe … Read more…

Hi Everyone, Following all sorts of useful discussions at our April members evening we agreed a few actions. This is a communication about one of them! Others to follow…………. Firstly we are a popular club with a membership level that makes us one of the bigger UK clubs, something we are rightly proud of, but we are very conspicuous around the area. Thanks to Nikki Bray for volunteering to lead the B ride this weekend, route as follows; B Ride for Sat, First credit to Chris Glazier as I am borrowing his C route from a few weeks ago. From B&Q we will head for Cornwall via the Tamar bridge, meet us there if you prefer a lie in just before 09:45am, after that it’s the main road towards Callington before turning off towards Hatt and then taking the quieter roads to come out just before Callington. Thanks to Paul Hiles and Simon Rooke for volunteering to lead the A ride this week, route is as follows; This weeks A ride will be BQ- Roborough-Green Lane- Horrabridge – Tavistock – Lamerton – Bren Tor – Mary Tavy – Back to Tavistock, Cafe stop at Bobs Cafe – Horrabridge – Yelverton – Roborough and back home. Weathers looking good so should be a nice ride.

MTB Fun/Social Ride – Sat 16th April

Looks like a perfect day tomorrow, nice and sunny for a good ride 🙂 Meet at the Carpark, by The Dartmoor Inn, Lydford at 1000hrs. see image below for map. We will ride out on via the Granite Way to Meldon, then back across the moor pick up some nice descents on the way. Directions: head out from Tavistock towards Lydford. Just past Dartmoor Inn, on the right, head up the small lane to the gate, then park on Public Carpark on the moor. John 07824 505 817

We will be leaving via the Ridgeway towards Ivybridge with an early stop at Wrangaton café as its going to be cold early. Then we will return via Ermington Yealmpton and Saltram to make a round trip of 27 miles, You can see the route on www.plotaroute.com/route/197342
