There is a page of guidance and notes to help ride leaders and new riders here. Our amazing club is run purely by volunteers. If you would like to do your bit, here’s your chance. Thank you! Below is a list of ride dates and leaders, where we have them. If you wish to volunteer please leave a note in the comments section … Read more…

This will be held on Friday 3rd June 6:30 – 8:30 at the ELM Centre, Nr Asda Estover. As well as practising an inner tube change (a number of times!) you will also learn how to complete the ‘M’ check (we will demo this). Saturday Road rides – 21st May
avatar

With the weather forecast as it is, it’s no surprise that we have had no leaders volunteer for this weekend’s rides. Be assured, all official rides are still planned to go ahead, unless of course the weather turns nastier and we deem it unsafe (we will of course give advance notice on the morning) Assuming all goes ahead, we kindly ask that those who do brave conditions. Determine between themselves a ride leader please. Have a good weekend all and stay safe

Saturday D Road Ride – 21st May
avatar

For those brave and hardy souls familiar with the Keepers of the Cog and in particular Rule #9  the plan for tomorrow is as follows: Actually nothing too epic!  I’d suggest we plan for a Totnes loop, out through Plymstock, Yealmpton and Ermington then up the valley and straight on to Avonwick and the top road to Totnes before heading back through Dartington and South Brent.  Option of a coffee stop at Totnes if needed or back to Rockets to relive our heroics? If it’s really horrific that will probably be enough but if it’s better than the forecast plenty of … Read more…

MTB Fun/Social Ride – Saturday 21st May 2016

MTB Fun/Social Ride – Saturday 21st May 2016 Now meeting at 10am Roborough Rock carpark, near Yelverton. This is the carpark just North of the big rock on the old airfield.  Travelling from Plymouth turn left about 0.5mile before Yelverton roundabout, then take the right around the other side of the large rock. Note : Neil kindly volunteered to step in to lead, but has now hurt himself riding on thursday night, so we need another volunteer to lead, and I thought it easier to meet here instead of Postbridge.

Saturday D Road Ride – 14th May

So, marginally more organised than last week and hoping I won’t be BNMCC again… 🙂 And in the best form of re-cycling, here’s one I prepared earlier: Anyway, leaving at the usual of 08:30 I’m suggesting we head the usual route to Ashburton then on to Newton Abbot, Teignmouth, Shaldon, Torbay, Totnes, Avonwick, blast down the valley for those that still have the legs for it and home via Yealmpton.  Usual rules apply so we may tweak and change the route according to what people want to do.  Coffee stop somewhere between Teignmouth and Totnes! (Probably means it’ll be the … Read more…

Saturday ‘C’ Road Ride – 14th May
avatar

It seems ages ago since I led a ‘C’ ride (that’s cos it was!), so be aware I might be leading from the rear :). Whatever we will be heading up to the moor and to ensure a nice easy warm up we will start with an amble up the Plym Valley.  Here take the opportunity to ‘Tree Peep’ and enjoy the lush translucent green leaves before the insects and fungi start their feasting and spoil the pristine look :).  Yep that also means those who want an easy(ier) life can meet us at Yelverton for a 10 am depart. Actual route will be:- Plym Valley Cycle … Read more…
