Spring / Summer 2018 – TT Series, Relay & Hill Climb

And so we go again! I’m very pleased to announce the return & 2nd year of our Spring / Summer TT Series. With a mix of both Individual and Team events whilst each month will mark a different course. These events will be club lead and taking place on a Tuesday night rather than a Wednesday this year. This to maximise the numbers of participants. whilst allowing members to continue riding club Wednesday night rides and the possible introduction of a YOGi Chain gang on Wednesdays also. YOGi 10-12 Ride – 21st April

Terry Casey has kindly stepped in as leader this weekend for the Leisure 10-12 ride; Plan is as follows; South Brent via Ivybridge and Ermington. Coffee stop at the Rowan Tree in South Brent. It’s a 30 mile round trip and flat(ish) (under 2000 feet).

I do also have a number of different sized jerseys and bib shorts in Stock and in both the Team and pro range. 14-16 Road ride – 21st April

Phil Knight is taking the 14-16 ride this coming weekend; Weather looks set so I propose Wrangaton – Buckfastleigh – Ashburton, then a climb up to Dartmeet and on to cafe stop at Fox Tor. Then straight back to HQ. 50 miles and almost 5000ft climbing, with late cafe stop (35 miles) so bring plenty of on-board snacks


Saturday Leisure Ride – 14th April

Now that the warmer weather is finally promised we are making a big effort to ensure this particular ride takes place every Saturday! To help ensure it does, if no other volunteers come forward then one of the committee will lead it, and for this ride it is my pleasure to take a turn. Yogi 14-16 ride Saturday 14th April

The plan for this week is the reverse route of a ride we did at the end of last year – HQ- Cot Hill- Plymstock – Yealmpton – Ermington – Wrangaton – California Cross – Gara Bridge -Moreleigh -Loddiswell for a cafe stop at the Avon Mill Garden Centre, then – California Cross – Wrangaton – Ivybridge – Plympton – HQ. Round 1 – Spring / Summer TT – 17th April

Round 1 starts off with a Individual Time Trial next Tuesday 17th April at 630pm using the well known Ermington Valley course. Starting at the very bottom of the Course (Westlake Junction). It will be a ride up to the valley to just beyond the Kitford Cross junction. A quick and safe turn around and then back down the valley to the start / finish line. 2018 Prudential Ride London Surrey – Team Entry Opportunity

New Info – British Cycling have given the deadline for all registrations to Friday 25th May.  Therefore I am able to extend the deadline for applying for a team place until Friday 11th May.   Once again as a British Cycling Affiliated club we have been offered the opportunity to enter teams into the Prudential Ride London 2018 We have been given one all Female team and one Mixed team (2 males/2 females). ***YOGi Castelli Kit Update***

Hi all Great news, our kit is due to be ready from Italy for the 11th April and just in time for Sportive season.
