So where do yuh choose to ride that won’t be too much of a shock to the system after we have all become acclimatised to hot, sunny hazy day riding and the met office are predicting heavy showers and a NW wind?  Yep looks like it might be one of those good ole English character building days. I’ve held off posting until now in the hope of a better forecast but as I write it ain’t happening. So with the above criteria we will head out to Totnes. Route is:- Plympton – Ivybridge - Ugborough – Avonwick – Totnes (cafe stop at the Steamer Quay) … Read more…

Well, either the forcast is correct and it’s going to be humid and a bit wet, or we’re all going to get fried while riding our carbon lighting rods.  We’ll see shall we? For those of you that want to laugh in the face of Thor (the Norse god, not the mightily-fine-thighed Hushovd) here is the route: B&Q, Ridgeway, Cyclepath to Ivybridge, right turn at Wrangaton and out to California Cross, Gara Bridge climb.  Join the Totnes road at Halwell and head towards Dartmouth.  We could have a vote to see if we want the extra climb of going into Dartmouth and out … Read more…

Saturday 14 AGM road ride

Weather’s looking a bit ‘changeable’ for Saturday so there will be a  bit of deciding on the day which route we’ll take.  The final route will also have to take into account how we are doing for time in order to get back to Yelverton for the afternoon’s festivities. Meet at B&Q as usual at 9pm – we will head up the cycle path to pick up people at Yelverton.  If you want to park there ready for the AGM instead of meeting at B&Q, we should be up there between 9.30 and 9.45.  From there we will head towards … Read more…
