Saturday Road Ride Leaders

There is a page of guidance and notes to help ride leaders and new riders here. Our amazing club is run purely by volunteers. If you would like to do your bit, here’s your chance. Thank you! Below is a list of ride dates and leaders, where we have them. If you wish to volunteer please leave a note in the comments section … Read more…

Saturday C road ride – 10th Dec

Admittedly I hadn’t planned on leading this weekend, so ive not yet decided on a exact a route. With the weather looking a tad ominous and the C ride being low on numbers (time of year) I can hardly imagine a sell out crowd. Therefore I will see what’s what in the morning, come up with a few options tonight and determine the best course at HQ. Hope to see you out

Road & Ride leadership sub group

Road & Ride leadership sub group. Following the recent Club Commitee group meeting. We are now looking to put together a group of approx 6 volunteer Road Members with a focus on Rides & Ride leadership. Similar to the frequency of the Commitee meetings, its aim would be to meet every 2 months (Atleast a week prior to main club committee meetings) The idea is to further engage with our members to gain ideas and any concerns relating to the Title subject. The result and discussions of each meeting, will then be passed onto the Road section of the committee and … Read more…

Saturday ‘A’ Road Ride – 3rd December 2016

Hi All, This week we will skirt the edge of the moor and hopefully then find the slightly more sheltered roads and so away from the forecasted cold easterly winds. Even so best wrap up me thinks! Route we will take is:- Leigham – Little Down – Green Lane – Crapstone – Dousland  – Walkhampton – Horrabridge – Moreshop – Batterbridge – Tavistock (Coffee and Cake at Bobs Eastend Café) – Drakes Trail to Yelverton – Home. This route is just under 40 miles I recall. Looking forward to riding with those who are not going Christmas shopping yet!

Saturday C Road Ride – 26th Nov

This weeks C Ride will be lead by myself and i’m somewhat torn over what Route to do. I think this will depend solely on numbers wishing to do the C ride, which has been low of late. Option 1 – Will be heading out to Okehampton via Tavistock, with Cafe stop at the Okehampton Train station and a return trip via Lydford / Brentor / Tavistock / Yelverton / Roborough. Option 2 – Will be heading out to Launcestion again via Tavistock with Cafe Stop at the PIE Stop. Return via Callington / Callington / Saltash / Devonport. Perhaps … Read more…
