In order for our Saturday Road Rides to take place, we need volunteers to lead. If you can lead a ride or two (or even more) that would be fantastic and we would like to hear from you. This week sees Justin Stanbrook leading the A ride as he plans a visit to Louis Tea room; Usual 9am start at B&Q, heading for Yelverton via Plymbridge Woods. It’s then out to Tavistock and onto Gunnislake (Brace yourselves!!) Well deserved Coffee & Cake at the Louis Tea room before heading back via Callington, St Mellion and Saltash Tamar Bridge. Approx 40 miles conducted at usual A ride pace. Great news all. We have renewed our membership with the CTT. So for those who wish to enter CTT led races / TT’s and Hill Climbs. Can now do so as a representative of YOGi Cycling.

Mike Smith will be leading the D Ride this week and has planned a Exeter Century via Morty. Cafe stop is likely to be on the Quay, however can be decided on the day. 830am start @ B&Q
It’s 3rd Saturday of the month again. Meet 10am at the usual place – Roborough Rock Carpark (big rock on the airfield near Yelverton. Expecting to be back in the Burrator Inn for around 1:30-2:00pm. So bring a change of clothes. See you there John 07824505817
Thanks to Andy Greaves this week, for volunteering his services to lead the B ride. The plan as follows; This is a ride we did back in October with a very slight change in route. HQ-out through Plympton to the Lyneham – Ivybridge – Ermington – Avonwick – Totnes – Dartington – Buckfastleigh. Cafe stop at the train station in Buckfastleigh. Then head back home through South Brent – Ivybridge and Plympton. Distance is 45 Miles with 4000 feet elevation. Pace will be around 12-14. Usual Yogi rules apply. Saturday C Road Ride – 18th Feb The plan for this weeks ride is a Doccombe, Teign Valley loop that goes like this :- https://www.strava.com/routes/1492558 The route is 73 miles with plenty of climbing in the first half and pan flat for the return leg, don’t quote me on that! Mike Smith is the man leading this weeks C road ride, his plan is as follows; Keeping to low ground due to cold conditions. Standard Dartmouth loop, nice steady pace due to overindulgence on his Holidays. 0900 B&Q.
Thanks to Andy Burch for leading the B Ride this weekend, the plan is as follows; Seaton loop B&Q at 9:00 Forder Valley /Crownhill to the Tamar Bridge, leaving the bridge at 09:40 ish. Out to Hatt, Pilaton Tideford Cross Tideford, St Germans, Polbathic, Hessenford and café stop at Seaton. Back via Downderry to Tregantle (lightweight option to Torpoint 🙂 ) or round Rame Head , Millbrook St John Torpoint and back on the ferry. Full route around 51 miles, bring your winter warmers !
