There is a page of guidance and notes to help ride leaders and new riders here. Our amazing club is run purely by volunteers. If you would like to do your bit, here’s your chance. Thank you! Below is a list of ride dates and leaders, where we have them. If you wish to volunteer please leave a note in the comments section … Read more…

Thanks to Adrian Longman for volunteering the lead the D ride again this weekend, his route is as follows; Saturday D Road Ride – 13th Feb Once again I think the best plan for saturday is to keep our options open as the forecast is once again ‘iffy’ and could go either way. I’d like to do a teignmouth loop approaching from Chudleigh over the golf course ( if I can remember the way ) and back through the English Riviera and Totnes. If the winds do turn out to be wild from the north we will do a Haytor, … Read more…

Saturday Road Rides Cancelled – 6th February
avatar

Hi All, Once again the weather forecast is suggesting 50 mile an hour winds and very heave rain so common sense has to prevail, so we are cancelling all tomorrows road rides. As ever anyone wanting to take their own decision welcome to drum up riding buddies using ‘Comments’ below, however they will not be official club sanctioned rides and hence not covered by the club insurance. Hopefully everyone will agree a sensible approach, and a chance maybe for someone to organise a Mountain Bike ride for ‘Roadies’?

Saturday D Road Ride – 30th Jan

Thanks to Mike Smith for volunteering to lead the D ride this week, here’s his cunning plan: Plan A is a Doccombe Loop taking advantage of the prevailing wind pushing us across the moor. Coffee stop in Buckfastleigh or Totnes depending on how we’re doing. Given the forecast and the need to always have a Plan B, here’s that too: If raining hard, stay low and go from B&Q up to Buckfastleigh, Ashburton and up the Teign Valley to Morty with a loop back to Newton Abbot and on to Totnes. Either option sounds good to me! Plan is as … Read more…

Saturday D Road Ride – 22nd Jan

There will be a D ride for this weekend! Leaving b&q at 8:30 we’ll probably do some variation of a Tavy-Launceston loop 😀 Thinking of heading out through Duex Alpes to Yelverton, cutting across Jordan Lane and Batteridge to the A386 and up to Sourton Cross.  From there the full length of the old A30 to Launceston and then back through North Petherton, Coad’s Green and Callington. Full route is about 74 miles with about 6500ft of climb but obviously open to suggestions on the day!!  Cafe stop likely to be either the farm shop after Liftondown or Pie Stop. … Read more…
