MTB Fun/Social Ride – Saturday 20th January 2018.

It’s the 3rd Saturday of the month, and we will meet as normal at Roborough Rock @ 10am. Then drive on to a nearby start point. Back for around 2pm for Lunch/drink at The Burrator Inn. So Best bring a change of clothes. Roborough Rock Carpark, is located just north of the large rock on the old airfield. Travelling from plymouth,  Take the left turn 0.5mile before Yelverton roundabout, and then next right around the rock to find the Carpark. cheers, John Allan

Hi All, It is my pleasure to lead this weeks ride and it’s great that Ian is now able to ride more weekends again and coming along too. Fingers crossed for a reasonable weather window but hey as they say no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes! Saturday Leisure (10-12) Road ride – 20th Jan

Bryan Millings is your ride leader this weekend; 10-12 (leisure) group are off to Long Ash garden centre this week . Route is B&Q,Sparkwell,Cornwood, relaxed climb up Dragon Hill,Cadover Bridge,Sheepstor, loop Burrator,Yelverton,Long Ash for cake stop,back to B&Q via a blast back along the Downs then Estover. About 33-35 miles.

Herald Sports Awards 2018 – January Monday 29th January

Thanks to Lynda Budd for once again completing a nomination on the clubs behalf, YOGi Cycling has been successfully shortlisted for the Herald Sports Awards. As this really has become a major annual event in the city, like most clubs we want to treat it as a Black Tie (or suit and tie) event. It is a very enjoyable evening when following a three course meal a range of sports awards are made to both individuals and teams. Saturday 14-16 Road ride – 6th January

Jonathan Warren starts 2018’s 14-16 Road rides this week, his planned route will be out to Seaton Tomorrows 14-16 route, 56 miles and 4600ft. A slightly longer ride and cafe stop at Seaton is 40 miles in so be prepared for that. Weather will be very cold feeling like 0-4 Degrees so wrap up! End of Year Leisure MTB Ride – Saturday 30th December

Hi All i have been promising to do more of these and as the Saturday forecast suggests a wet one, and figure that rather than let the Christmas calorie intake be left any longer an MTB ride is a good idea👍 Meet at Coypool 9:00. Anyone welcome but it is meant to be suitable for those who want some real ‘Off Road’ riding but not a technical thrash ride. So that’ll be anybody with an MTB or even a Cross Bike then ( might be a few bits where getting off and carrying will be advisable😉).

Saturday 10-12 Road Ride – 23rd December

Thanks to Mike Taylor for taking charge of the 10-12 ride this weekend; PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS RIDE WILL MEET AND LEAVE FROM YOGI HQ (9AM) ONLY AND WONT HEADING TO THE BURRATOR FOR 10AM. Heading out to Ivybridge then up Cole Lane (eastern edge of Ivybridge) then onto Lukesland, Harford, Tor, into Cornwood (basically round the top of Hanger Down then into Cornwood from the NE) and then up Dragon Hill to Lee Moor, Cadover and Yelverton. Could also do a loop of Burrator (if road is open and time in hand).

12 -14 Christmas Road Ride -Saturday 23rd December

Hi All, As I expect it will be damp and hence some (me for one) would like to have some dry clothes /Christmas Jumpers etc to swap into at the Burrator, we will meet as usual at Coypool and head to The Burrator Pub to leave a bag of clothes there. ETA 10 am so anyone who prefers can meet us there then. I have a plan to leave my camper there so can be used as bag store but that is subject to me getting up early enough :)).
