In order for our Saturday Road Rides to take place, we need volunteers to lead. If you can lead a ride or two (or even more) that would be fantastic and we would like to hear from you. There is a page of guidance and notes to help ride leaders and new riders here. Our amazing club is run purely by volunteers. If you would like to do your bit, here’s your chance. Thank you! Below is a list of ride dates and leaders, where we have them. If you wish to volunteer please leave a note in the comments section … Read more…

This is the second of our steadier ‘step-up’ rides so if you’re one of the stronger riders on the 14-16 ride please consider giving it go! With the weather looking pretty ok for tomorrow and an almost balmy 11deg I thought we’d take a trip across the moors. So from HQ we’ll head up through Leigham picking up at The George around 9:25 for anyone who wants to meet us there (yes, I’m looking at you Mr Wildman 🙂 ) Then it’s on to Meavy and Princetown and across the moors to Morty. I’ll lead the 16-18 this week but will run it at a slightly slower pace (15-17) to encourage anyone who’d like to step up from the 14-16 ride to give it a go. Route but will be between 50-60 miles and we will aim to take advantage of a tailwind home! Looks dry in the morning if a little bit breezy so hopefully see a few more on the ride tomorrow, come on….you know you want to!! Cheers Simon
Message from Yorkie – Ronnie Barker is showing me around Mount Edgecombe MTB route, we are meeting at Rockets with the plan to catch the 09:15 ferry round to Edgecombe (Ferry costs £3 each way). A bit more technical but we welcome riders, do make sure your bike is in order though and don’t turn up on a roadie
We It’s the first Saturday of the month ride. We are meeting at the usual place 10am at Roborough Rock Carpark (big Rock on old airfield just before Yelverton when travelling from Plymouth). From there we will drive to a nearby start place. It’s goung to be sunny but cold, so dress up warm, and bring spare clothes for afterwards as we generally go to The Burrator Inn for something to eat afterwards.
All official road rides will continue on Saturday 2nd February, however with a starting time of 10am. This is a decision made with the safety of our riders in mind. Areas may still be affected by snow and ice. Therefore we suggest sticking to the main A and B roads / routes. Ride carefully!!
Dan Richmond has offered to lead this ride. His words – I will offer to lead a leisure if there’s any takers…Sparkwell Dragon Hill to Cadover, to Burator Inn…cafe stop at Dartmoor Diner or Veras (Yelverton) and back route tbc. ..weather, roads and attendees dependant. Many thanks for taking this ride Dan!

Route below – HQ, Torpoint Ferry, Millbrook, Maker, Rame Head, Seaton, Hessenford, Torpoint, HQ food stop will be at Seaton Cafe. This weeks ride will take us across the ferry and in to bandit country! Current plan is to head to Looe, on to Dobwalls and Minions before heading back through Gunnislake, Tavistock and Whitchurch route back to base. Route is about 68 miles but with plenty of options to cut short depending on weather (could be wet and windy!) and what people want to do. Coffee stop when we’re ready but loads of options but probably worth bringing some food! Route can be found here Hope to see you on Saturday! 🙂
Simon will lead a 16-18 ride tomorrow.Route will be something along the lines of Callington via Gunnislake then either Seaton or Clifftop for a cafe stop before returning to base. I’ll plot a route later, plenty of options to cut short depending how bad the conditions are but think it may well be BNMCC!!
Dan Richmond has kindly offered his time to lead the 10-12 Ride this weekend; Route will depend on numbers but probably out via Lee Mill towards Cornwood, Cadover and on to Yelverton….
