Both the 10-12 and 12-14 will go ahead as per normal. However to do so we kindly ask that a route and ride leader is determines on the morning for each. Have a great ride all and see you next week

Saturday 14-16 Road ride – 23rd Sept

Thank you to Andy Burch this week, route as follows; 14/16 ride SE Cornwall 50 mile ride, leave HQ at usual time pick up at Tamar Bridge around 09:20 for those that want to meet here, out to Hatt ,Pillaton etc, cafe stop at Seaton,back via Tregantle, for those that want to get back early,straight to Torpoint, but ride will continue on the Rame Head coast road round to Kingsand and back via Millbrook etc to the ferry https://www.strava.com/routes/7065121

Saturday 16-18 Road ride – 16th Sept

Apologies for lateness of posting this ride. In truth im yet to fully decide where to lead the group to. With a back to venue by 1pm deadline. It will be local for sure, so perhaps up to Princetown and back down to Tavy loop. Will see what numbers we get and go from there. 930am start at St Pauls Church in Yelverton, in prep for the AGM See you tomorrow

Si Rooke and Phil Williams will take the 12-14 ride this weekend with thanks: They will be going from Yelverton via Saltash ,St Dominick , Cotehele , Gunnislake , Tavistock , Bobs if we are ahead of schedule and back up to Yelverton.

Saturday 14-16 Road ride – 16th Sept

Andy Greaves is your man this week, his plan as follows; Saturday 16th Sept – Yogi AGM ride 14-16 group Starting from Yelverton at 9.30am and finishing at Yelverton this week (in line with all club rides), the route will be as follows – From Yelverton we head towards Walkhampton and Huckworthy bridge, Leetown, Sampford Spinney and Moorshop.We take a left here and head into Tavistock. Mike Smith returns to the 18+ fold this weekend with Pre AGM ride; Start 0830 b&q, make way to Bovey Tracey, up Haytor, descend Widdicombe, over to Postbridge and then Princetown. Whizz down to AGM drink all the beer and home 🙂 Thanks Mike

Newport Velodrome Trip – Sunday 15th October (Confirm your interest to attend)

Hi all I cannot believe that a whole year has passed since our last visit. Therefore I’m super excited to announce that this returns again this year and we have a booking at the Newport Velodrome for Sunday 15th October, with track time 2pm – 6pm. So that i can now work out the cost per head, please confirm your DEFINITE interest to attend the event. The cost per head will again include Coach travel, Velodrome hire, an accredited coach to lead the session and individual bike hire. YOGi Summer (More like Autumn!) Series – HILL CLIMB – 7th October

So we end the Summer Series with the all important Hill Climb. Spain may have their Alto de l’Angliru, France their Mont Ventoux and Italy their Mount Etna. But they are still no match for the mighty mythological Gara Bridge!! A gruelling 1.6 Miles, Cat 4 Climb with an average gradient of 5%. Its no wonder the Europeans run in fear of its name! Saturday 16-18 Road ride – 9th Sept

With the weather looking a bit wet this weekend, Mike Smith has volunteered to lead a 16-18 ride. 0900 B&Q ride to ferry, ride towards Trerulefoot and make way to Hessenford, Seaton, Tregantle and pacey ride back to the ferry. Back into Plymouth and if weather isn’t too bad then clockwise loop of Totnes. Coffee at Curator and then home. Thanks Mike

YOGi Roadie Away day – Sunday 24th Sept

Trevor Monk & Steve Sendall amongst a few others, have organised a YOGi Road cycling away day for Sunday 24th September. The plan is as follows; Meet time 8am at YOGi HQ and travel in convoy up to Exeter. Those who wish to make their own way can do so. With a meet time of 9am within the industrial estate behind the Sowerton park and ride near the to Exeter services. It will then be a ride out towards Cullumpton and across to Honiton. Saturday 14-16 Road ride – 2nd Sept

Justin Stanbrook will be your main man this weekend, with a route within the gentle rolling hills of the South Hams B&Q 9am Depart – Route is along the embankment and going out through Elburton up through the Erme valley to Avonwick, South Brent and then the fast descent into Totnes from Marley head! Cafe stop is at the Green table at the Granary, around the back of Darlington hall. Then its back home via Buckfastleigh and down through Wrangaton 55 miles 3600 ft of climbing, probably one of the last days of summer
