Saturday Leisure, A and C ride – 29th April

With the Dartmoor Demon taking place today, its anticipated many members taking part and the best of luck to them. This has left numbers short for volunteering as a ride leader. However be assured all Club rides will proceed as nornal. We just ask that a Leisure, A and C ride leader are determined at HQ this morning along with a suitable route. Have a good weekend all

Saturday B Road ride – 29th April

Thanks to Mr B for volunteering to Lead the B this weekend, his route as follows; Totnes Steamer Quay loop HQ to Ivybridge,Ermington,up the valley, out to Cally X, down to Garra Bridge, out to Morleigh, back roads to Harberton,on to Totnes for cafe stop at the Steamer Quay (booked) back via Dartington, then back roads to Rattery, SouthBrent, Ivybridge and back, Total mileage 52 with 4700 feet of climbing usual B Ride pace

Saturday D Road ride – 29th April

Mike returns this week to the D group with a cracking route, plan is; 0830 B&Q. Roborough, Tavistock, Launceston, Boscastle, coads green, Kelly bray and home. Tail wind up, against the wind back but on fast roads. cheers. Have a good ride all.

Saturday D Road Ride – 22nd April

Well I had put my name down to lead the D ride this weekend, however Matt Robinsons suggested route looked like a good one. So its over to him and his plan is; 8.30am Jollys car park. With Sportives on the horizon thought it would be good to get some hills in…(Did you now????) Deux Alps route up to Lee Moor / Wottor, Cadover, Yelverton & Walkhampton. Saturday A Road ride – 22nd April

Thank you to the very reliable Andy Greaves for volunteering to lead again this week; This week we are heading out to Bantham, here’s the route – HQ, Cot hill, Plymstock, Modbury, Aveton Gifford, Bantham cafe for refreshments. Then back towards Churchstow, Loddiswell, California cross, Wrangaton, Ivybridge, Plympton and HQ route can be found here – Pace around 12. 45 miles approx and all usual Yogi rules apply.  


Torbay Velopark – Tuesday 2nd May 6-8pm

Torbay Velopark We have a fantastic outdoors cycling facility right on our doorstep in the form of Torbay Velopark and we are yet to really utilise this as a club. Therefore I’ve booked 3x Two hour evening sessions during the Summer, in which we can use the Track for Group ride training / education. There is no entrance fee and all hire costs have been covered by the club. These sessions will not be solely provided for education & training. Summer Series – Round 1 (ITT) Wed 19th April

So it begins!!! I’m very excited to announce the details for our upcoming Summer Series of ITT’s, TTT’S and 1x Hill climb (Hill Climb info to be released in around August along with Registration to Enter) Each month will mark a different course and discipline. These events will be club lead and replace the standard Wednesday night club ride on the dates only. Saturday A road ride – 15th April

Thanks to Debbie for taking the A ride lead this weekend, route as follows; Route is: Chase the B ride through Leigham and across Roborough Down, waving them off as they turn left, we will then proceed in an orderly manner to Yelverton and on to Walkhampton. Then off through some of the back lanes to Sampford Spiney and on to Moorshop. Up Pork Hill and Merrivale to Foxtor Cafe for well earned refreshments. Temporary Car Park Use

Hi all With the recent closure of the B&Q car park to Car access. We have kindly been granted permission to park within the rear car park of Jollys Pet Store by the Assistant Manager. Those who do so, please notify a member of staff. Should there be any questions asked, please confirm that this agreement has been reached with the Assistant Manager Richard. All they ask in return is for the odd pack of biscuits, which I’m sure we can provide amongst us. Saturday B road ride – 15th April

Andy Burch will be taking the B ride lead this weekend with thanks, plan as follows; Lifton loop B&Q, Leigham /Estover to pick up at the George 09:20 ish Roborough Down to Denham Bridge,out to Gulworthy , then on to Chillaton, left out to Crosstown and on to Lifton for the booked cafe stop, at the Lifton Farm Shop Home via Launceston, down to Trebullett ,Brayshop, Callington, then back roads to Hatt, Saltash and Tamar Bridge. Total ride distance back to B&Q is 58 miles with 5200 feet of climbing B ride pace 12-14mph


Saturday “Alternative” Road ride – 15th April

Bryan will be doing an alternative ride this week to Paignton. Aim of this ride is to up the mileage without necessarily increasing the pace. Will be ideal for those thinking of the Sportive season coming up. From B&Q we’re take familiar route be Totnes via Wrangaton, Marley Head, Dartington to Totnes. Through Totnes onto A385,before we take a left fork and take a steady climb up to Beacon Hill before we drop down into Paignton and our cafe stop on the seafront.
