I’m planning on riding Sunday due to the forecasted weather on Saturday (all club rides called off), so leaving HQ at 9am, heading out to Totnes and back through Buckfastleigh etc. Stopping at the Salmon’s Leap cafe in Buckfastleigh. Justin Cartwright has offered to lead this week, here is his route.- HQ, Leigham, The george, green lane, yelverton, princetown, dartmeet, postbridge, fox tor cafe stop. Way home is merrivale, pork, moortown, horrabridge, yelverton, roborough downs. 50 miles, 5000 ft climbing. If you haven’t been up Dartmeet it’s definitely a good challenge. Have a good ride all.

Its my intention to organise a bit of through and off from Ermington up to Wrangaton this week. Its a quieter road to practice on and should keep us all together. I’ll lead the 16-18 this week but will run it at a slightly slower pace (15-17) to encourage anyone who’d like to step up from the 14-16 ride to give it a go. Route but will be between 50-60 miles and we will aim to take advantage of a tailwind home! Looks dry in the morning if a little bit breezy so hopefully see a few more on the ride tomorrow, come on….you know you want to!! Cheers Simon
Message from Yorkie – Ronnie Barker is showing me around Mount Edgecombe MTB route, we are meeting at Rockets with the plan to catch the 09:15 ferry round to Edgecombe (Ferry costs £3 each way). A bit more technical but we welcome riders, do make sure your bike is in order though and don’t turn up on a roadie

Phil Knight is planning a day trip over to France to do some cycling, here’s his message – Hello all. I am planning a 24-hr trip to cycle around Roscoff with work colleague. Probably leisurely 50 miles or so at around 12-14mph, with several food and drink stops. Out on the overnight ferry, back the following night. 22/23 March. Cost approx £110 for 4 sharing a cabin – I need 2 more to make a group of 4. Let me know if you’re interested.
