Phil B has offered to lead this ride, his route below – Hi Andy, happy to lead 14/16 this weekend (13Jul). weather looks good, so thought we would head out to Blackpool Sands, get some sea breeze. Route is https://www.strava.com/routes/17948600About 59 miles, 5000 elevation.
Mark Booker has offered to lead an alternative ride this weekend, starting from Callington and riding out to Tintagel and back. The distance is 55 miles. Parking is free at the start point, which is the car park just after the roundabout as you arrive at Callington, (on the Right hand side). The ride will start at 9am from Callington. Paul Fahy has offered to lead a ride out to Buckfastleigh this week.
Unless we have a volunteer to lead the above ride, I’m down as cover for this weeks Leisure ride, so we will be heading out to the south hams, here’s the route – HQ – Lyneham – Yealmpton – Modbury – California Cross – Wrangaton Stopping at the A38 cafe (think its still called that?) return will be back Ivybridge – Lee Mill – Plympton – HQ 30 miles round trip. Justin Cartwright has offered to lead this week. He’s planned to include some of the Dartmoor Classic route. Out to Lydford Gorge including Pork Hill and Merrivale on the return. Andy Burch is leading the ride this week, here’s his route – I can take the 12/14 this week Seaton loop via Menheniot HQ up Culver Way to Crownhill, meet at the Tamar bridge 09:30 ish Out via Saltash to Hatt, Pillaton, Tilland ,back roads to Menheniot,across to Widegates Hessenford then Seaton cafe Back via Downderry Tregantle. Weather forecast looks good, so I thought we could do the Lifton loop. One of my favourite rides. route below – Hq – George Pub – Bere Alston – Gulworthy – Chillaton – Lifton Cafe stop at the Lifton Farm shop back via Launceston – Trebullett- Callington – back lane to Hatt – Saltash- hq route is around 60 miles with quite a lot of elevation, so bring plenty to eat. Here is his route – After last weeks efforts, a slightly easier ride this week. HQ, Wrangaton, Cali X, Gara bridge, Morleigh, Slapton, cafe stop in Torcross (Sea Breeze). Way home is Kingsbridge, Aveton Gifford, 3 Mile Climb, Modbury, Ermington and home. 55 miles and 1200m climbing.

Here is his route – I can take the 12/14 4th May Louis Tea Room loop HQ , deux alps Cadover Bridge, Yelverton, Dousland, Walkhampton to Tavy Then out to Gunnislake, bit of a climb here to Louis Tea Room for the cafe stop. Out to Sparkwell, Cornwood and Ivybridge onwards to Ermington and Yealmpton where we will stop for a break. Our return will be via Brixton, Elburton and Saltram. Ill lead the 14-16 ride this week, we will be going out to Bovey Tracey, stopping at either cafe 64 or cafe 360 depending on size of group.
