Bill Francis has offered to lead this ride. Thanks Bill. Here is his plan – I will try to lead a Lettaford Loop ride (76 miles ish with rolling hills)Deux alps, Yelverton, Princetown Lettaford then down Haytor coffee at Bovey home via Ashburton.
So the forecast is for it to be dry after Friday’s rain. As we haven’t been out this way for a while (although Phil K almost made it to Salcombe on one ride while we were heading to Kingsbridge!) I thought we could a ride out to Salcombe, stopping at the Wink Prawn at North Sands. Terry has very kindly offered to lead this week. Here is his route – HQ, Lee Mill, ivybridge, Wrangaton, Cali X. Coffee at the Lazy Cow in Modbury. Return to HQ via Ermington and Ivybridge. Just over 30 miles and under 2000 feet.
Justin is leading this week, here’s his planned route – Bovey cafe 360 stop. Classic route to Beckaford Farm and Haytor. Back via Ashburton. Should be a fondo.
Dan Richmond has kindly offered to lead this week, here is his plans for the ride – I’ll take a 12-14 if there’s no other offers…probably Tregantle..rame head..seaton..cafe stop..hessenford and back to the ferry This is a round trip of about 50 miles from HQ
Unless we have a volunteer to lead the above ride, I’m down as cover for this weeks Leisure ride, so we will be heading out to the south hams, here’s the route – HQ – Lyneham – Yealmpton – Modbury – California Cross – Wrangaton Stopping at the A38 cafe (think its still called that?) return will be back Ivybridge – Lee Mill – Plympton – HQ 30 miles round trip. A few weeks ago Emma & Al did a ride up to Ashburton then across to Newton Abbot and then back to Totnes. Not having done some of this route before I thought we could ride it this Saturday (with a couple of very minor route changes) . The Cafe stop will be at Steamer Quay which is about 36 miles into the ride. I thought this week we could ride out to SibleyBack lake, but in the reverse direction to our normal route. Mark Booker has offered to lead an alternative ride this weekend, starting from Callington and riding out to Tintagel and back. The distance is 55 miles. Parking is free at the start point, which is the car park just after the roundabout as you arrive at Callington, (on the Right hand side). The ride will start at 9am from Callington.
