Nikki and Emma have offered to lead this ride, they are planning to head out to the Winking Prawn at Salcombe. The planned route below. Have a great ride. HQ – Wrangaton – California Cross – Loddiswell – Kingsbridge – Salcombe – Winking Prawn for food stop. WInking Prawn – Aveton Gifford – Modbury – Yealmpton – Plympton – HQ. Mike Taylor has volunteered to lead this week, his route below – Route for the 10-12 group ride this Saturday (30th) will be up to Cliff View cafe passing thru’ Torpoint, St John, Millbrook, Maker and Kings/Cawsands. Return via Tregantle and Antony and back to Torpoint. Distance about 35 miles.

So with the Dartmoor Classic getting closer, and continuing the theme of last weeks ride, we are going to ride another part of the classic route this week. So a good bit of practice for those doing the Grande. Route will be – HQ – Borringdon Hill – Cadover – Yelverton – Tavistock – Chillaton – Lydford – At Lydford Gorge we are stopping at the Waterfall Tea room, (this is the next cafe on from the cafe inside the Lydford Gorge national trust entrance). David has offered to lead again this week, his plan – Hi guys! I’m thinking of leading the 16-18 ride tomorrow doing a route from HQ probably up the cycle path to Yelverton, Princetown, Moretonhampstead, Ashburton and back somehow to HQ 😂 route I believe is about 68.9 miles! If anyone has a suggestion for cafe stop in Morton that would be appreciated! Have a good ride.

Emma and myself are co-leading this week. Emma thought it would be good to ride out to and up Haytor this week, so this is our planned route – HQ – Ivybridge – South Brent – Buckfastleigh – Ashburton – Heathfield – Bovey Tracey. We will stop here for refreshments (and to rest the legs) before tackling the Haytor climb, stop will be at either Cafe 360 or Cafe 64 depending on the size of the group. Been a while since I’ve led a 10-12 ride so looking forward to meeting everyone. We are heading out into the South Hams this week, route will be as follows – HQ- Lyneham Pub – Yealmpton – Modbury – California Cross- Wrangaton. We will stop at the Cafe here. Phil has offered to lead this week, his route below – I will lead a 14-16 ride this Saturday. HQ-Deux Alpes-Cadover-Walkhampton-Mary Tavy-Lydford-Brentor-Tavi-Yelverton-Home. Approx 48m, 4500ft, cafe stop at Bob’s Tavi after 34m so bring snacks. Hopefully make the cafe before the rain comes in. Phil Knight
