here is the planned route for Saturday. Please note we should arrive at the Burrator Pub around 10 am to pick up anyone wishing to start from here. The route is shorter than usual this week, so we should have time to visit Bobs for Coffee (Terry), and arrive back at the Burrator pub for 12.30 for the pre- Christmas club get together. I’ve been busy with work over the last few weeks and have missed a few club rides, so i’m keeping the route fairly standard this week. We will be heading to Seaton on a well used route. HQ – Torpoint – Polbathic – St Germans -Trerulefoot – Hessenford – Seaton – Crafthole – Rame loop – Anthony – Torpoint – HQ Food stop will be at the Seaton Cafe. Mike Taylor is leading this week. His route – From HQ out via Leigham, The George, Buckland, Yelverton, Dousland, Burrator loop, Walkhampton, Horrabridge, Long Ash (coffee) then home via Rob Down. Not sure of actual mileage but think it’s just on the 10-12 limit.
Phil B has kindly offered to lead this week. His route a follows – HQ — Ivybridge – Gara Bridge – Dartmouth – Totnes – Ivybridge – HQ Cafe stop at the Riverside Shack, Stoke Gabriel. note – 70p charge for ferry at Dartmouth. Around 60 miles with 4500 ft elevation ( a lot less climbing than the last route Phil took us on 🙂 ) Weather looks good, have a good ride all.

Terry Casey has offered to lead this ride. His words – Happy to take 12-14, route as follows, HQ, Smithaleigh, backroads to Cornwood, Ivybridge, Wrangaton, Erm Valley, but onto Modbury for coffee. route is 40 + miles.

Back in June this year, Kevin T led a ride out to Bovey Tracey. I quite enjoyed the route, so thought we could do it all over again. Hq – Ivybridge – South Brent – Buckfastleigh – Ashburton – Bickington – Haytor Vale – Bovey Tracey we will stop at Cafe 360 or possibly Cafe 64 depending on numbers. Phil Beasley has kindly offered to lead this week. Think this may be his first ride lead, so thanks Phil! route as follows: Plympton, Colebrook, Borringdon Hill, follow road to Cadover bridge and Yelverton. A386 to Tavistock, then fork right onto the B3357 up Pork Hill, Merrivale, Two Bridges and Dartmeet. At the top of the hill, fork left to Belever and onto the B3212, back through Two Bridges and onto Princetown, stopping at Foxtor Cafe for a well earned break. His plans below – Several members are away or at the Land’s End sportive so for anyone left at home I will lead a 14-16 route along the well known lanes to Seaton, via Torpoint, Millbrook, Cawsand, Downderry, cafe stop Seaton Beach, then home via Hesenford, Polbathic, Sheviock and Torpoint. 47 miles, 4000ft.
