Saturday C Road Ride – 25th June

Hi all, This week we will head out to Bucky before climbing Holne onto the moor. Cafe stop at Foxy Tor Cafe before dropping down Porky and Merrivale and home. 60 miler about. See you tomorrow. Ian

C Ride- 30th April

Hi all, This is a bit last minute,but I would rather be out riding than shifting rubble on a sunny day. Leaving B&Q at 09:00, wrangaton to Bucky, climb a past Venford on to the moor. Back to the Foxtor for the cafe stop before heading home. 52 miles. Ian

Xmas Leisure Ride – 19th December

Hi all, Merry Xmas to all. As is tradition the last ride before Xmas finishes at a pub for a bit of a social. We will be starting from The White Thorne Pub in Shaugh Prior At 09:00 this year. Parking is available and for those cycling, a change of clothing can be left safely in the pub for the social later. The route will be: White Thorne, drop onto the cycle track back to b&q to meet up with those who still wish to start there for about 09:20. We will then head out to ivybridge. Saturday B Road Ride – 27th June

B ride to Blackpool Sands route as follows: B&Q Ivybridge Wrangaton to Cali Cross down to Gara Bridge up to Moreleigh, Halwell B3207 to Dartmouth down through the town and out on the B3205 to Blackpool Sands for the cafe stop Back via Slapton, back roads to Gara Bridge Moreleigh and back the same way ave pace 13mph about 55 miles bring plenty on supplies, as cafe stop a fair way into the ride Andy Burch

Saturday B Road Ride – 20th June

Leave HQ to Ivybridge, Bittaford, sharp left under viaduct, back road to Wrangaton and South Brent, then for us hill lovers ! a climb up to Shipley Bridge / Avon Dam then descend to Harbourneford, over new A38 bridge to Rattery then to the Steamer Quay cafe at Totnes (booked for Yogis). After the cafe it’s out on the main A381 up the hill then turn right to Harberton, Diptford, Avonwick, South Brent and back. Saturday A Road Ride – 20th June

This week’s A ride will be taken into gods country my myself and Jim. The route is: leave base camp @ the usual time. We will head to the Torpoint Ferry (9:45 ish) then on to Antony – Lower Tregantle – Crafthole – Portwrinkle – Narkurs – Bake Lakes – Trerulefoot ( cafe stop ) Blunts – Pillaton – Hatt – Saltash and back to base. This ride will be kept to a reasonable pace and kept as a group, so if you want a quick ride choose one of the other rides. Distance is 30ish miles. Ray Cooke

Saturday C Road Ride – 13th June

This week’s C Ride route leaves plenty of options to change if the weather turns biblical. It is just under 50 miles with 1265m of climbing. It is more likely to be nearer a 14 ave owing to terrain and I have not quite got my cycling legs back. Route from B&Q, Deep Lane, Yealmpton, Ermington, Kitterford Cross, California Cross, Loddiswell, then a right through the Avon valley to Aveton Gifford. Saturday B Road Ride – 13th June

B&Q at 09:00 out to Newnham Park up Deux Alps, Cadover Bridge to Yelverton , up to Princetown, on out to Two Bridges, then B3357 to Dartmeet, up the Coffin Stone, left down to Lower Cator and back around Bellever Forest to Postbridge, back along B3212 to Princetown for cafe stop at the Foxtor, then home via Yelverton. this around 55 miles back to B&Q please note the cafe stop comes 30 odd miles in so please bring plenty of supplies for the ride. Saturday Leisure Ride – 13th June

Myself and Ray will be leading this week’s ride. Weather permitting we will be taking the group up through the cycle path to Yelverton then on to Burrator for a lap around back then to Dousland dropping down into Walkhampton and Horrabridge. Then a little climb up Pound Hill and on to Longash Garden Centre for our cafe stop. Once finished our cakes n coffee or tea it’s on to Crapstone and back to Yelverton for the cycle route back to BnQ. Total of around 30ish miles keeping this at a steady 10mph pace. James Grozier

Saturday A Road Ride – 13th June

The planned route for this Saturday is out to Dartington via Sparkwell, Ivybridge, South Brent, Harbourneford, Rattery – Dartington (Cafe stop). Back via Shinner’s Bridge, Tigley, Blue Post, Avonwick, Ermington, Ivybridge etc. Should be about 45 miles. Cheers Jonathan Warren

Saturday B Road Ride – 6th June

The ride leaders this week are Debbie Hancock and Alex Warren. We’ll aim to depart B&Q at 9.00 am. From B&Q we go through Eggbuckland and along the Crownhill Road to the Tamar Bridge where we will pick up at about 9.45.  We then take the usual YOGi route through Hatt, Pillaton and Blunts. After Blunts, instead of following the usual route to Tideford, we turn off at Tideford Cross, and go under the A38 through the underpass at Heskyn Mill.
