It’s the first Saturday of the month so time for another Windy adventure Yogi MTB social ride will meet at the Roborough Rock Carpark, on the old airfield near Yelverton @10am and drive onto an alternative start point. On on Windy PS apologies for the late post.
It’s time for the 3rd Saturday of the month MTB Fun / Social Ride. I thought I’d post early so that anyone that’s not involved in the Afan trip this weekend would know it’s going ahead as normal. The weather looks to be good for the whole weekend. We will meet 1000hrs at the usual place of Roborough Rock car park on the old airfield, near Yelverton, then drive to a start point nearby. MTB Fun ride – Saturday 1st October 2016 We will meet at Roborough Rock carpark, near Yelverton at 10am as normal. Will drive somewhere nearby to start the ride. Don’t forget to bring spare clothes, as we will go to the pub afterwards for a drink/lunch for those that wish. John 07824505817

This Saturday we have an extra MTB fun ride due to it being the clubs annual AGM, but don’t let that put you off!! Meet and ride at 10am from the carpark across the A386 from Yelverton shops/Church on the old airfield at the carpark with large piles of gravel (Not the usual one by the rock) We will ride until approx 1pm, then we have refreshments Sandwiches, Cake, tea and coffee and soft drinks (feel free to bring your own beer if you wish) followed by the AGM, the formal part if usually very brief followed by the annual … Read more…
We will be meeting 1000hrs at B & Q Marsh Mills (Plympton) as our car is still in France!!! We will be out for the normal length of fun ride around Plym bridge and Cann woods. As Trevor’s BBQ is in the afternoon we will leave the pub this time. John: 07824505817
Normal ride again this week for the 3rd Saturday of the Month Fun Ride, meeting 10am at Roborough Rock carpark on the old airfield near Yelverton. MTB Fun/Social ride – Saturday 4th June 2016 Meet at Saddle Tor carpark at 10:15am. We will ride a decent length ride (approx. 18 Miles) planning to be back at about 3-4pm. So bring some lunch on the ride. Forecast looks good at the moment. The ‘walker’ icon on the map points to meet point. It’s the first carpark if you travel 0.5 mile south west from Haytor itself. MTB Fun/Social Ride – Saturday 21st May 2016 Now meeting at 10am Roborough Rock carpark, near Yelverton. This is the carpark just North of the big rock on the old airfield. Travelling from Plymouth turn left about 0.5mile before Yelverton roundabout, then take the right around the other side of the large rock. Note : Neil kindly volunteered to step in to lead, but has now hurt himself riding on thursday night, so we need another volunteer to lead, and I thought it easier to meet here instead of Postbridge.
Looks like a perfect day tomorrow, nice and sunny for a good ride 🙂 Meet at the Carpark, by The Dartmoor Inn, Lydford at 1000hrs. see image below for map. We will ride out on via the Granite Way to Meldon, then back across the moor pick up some nice descents on the way. Directions: head out from Tavistock towards Lydford. MTB fun/social day ride – Bodmin Moor, Saturday 19th March 2016 Start and meet at a 10:15am at small Carpark where the red flag is on this map – see images below. It’s just as you see the moorland open up below Caradon Hill (it’s the one with the huge TV masts!! A38 to Liskeard, then follow signs to Pensilva, towards TV masts, park on left as you drive onto moorland. We will take be riding on Bodmin Moor taking in the Cheese ring quarry, Trewortha and Caradon Hill area. It’s a decent length ride so expect to be out … Read more…

Extra MTB Social Ride – Sat 23rd January 2016 its not an official week for the Fun/Social ride but thought we’d add an extra ride as t was nice this afternoon. Will meet at Post Bridge National Park car park and ride from there at 10:30am as weather looks like it will hold off for tomorrow. Assuming the weather is fine we can ride a decent route around that area, and be back for afternoon at the Burrator for some lunch!! John 07824505817
MTB Fun/social Ride – Saturday 16th January 2016 Meet at 10am at Roborough Rock (Carpark just north of the rock itself), on the old airfield near Yelverton. We will then drive to somewhere nearby to start the ride depending on conditions. Weather looks like it will be beautifully sunny all day with light NW winds, but still fairly cool so dress up for something in the snow if it’s not all melted. Will aim to be out until 1:30pm then back to the PUb for some lunch/snack/drink. Bring spare clothes for the pub. See you there 07824505817
MTB FUN/Social ride Saturday 19th December. For our last ride before XMAS we will meet and ride from Quarry Car park, Burrator (heading from Dousland, it’s just before Burrator Reservoir dam on the left) at 10am this Saturday. Will ride something suitable for the likely conditions, and aim to be back for about 13:30hrs for lunch at a nearby Pub for Drink/snack/meal as you prefer. Weather looks a bit wet, but at 14 degrees, it shouldn’t be that cold. Don’t forget a change of clothes. John 07824 505 817
