We will head to Buckfastleigh do a bit of steam engine spotting and cake eating at the preserved railways café. End of Year Leisure MTB Ride – Saturday 30th December

Hi All i have been promising to do more of these and as the Saturday forecast suggests a wet one, and figure that rather than let the Christmas calorie intake be left any longer an MTB ride is a good idea👍 Meet at Coypool 9:00. Anyone welcome but it is meant to be suitable for those who want some real ‘Off Road’ riding but not a technical thrash ride. So that’ll be anybody with an MTB or even a Cross Bike then ( might be a few bits where getting off and carrying will be advisable😉).

Its also the time of the year when we wish you and your loved ones a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We would like to take this opportunity to say a big thanks to all our members for being part of … Read more…

Tomorrows Road Rides Cancelled

Hi everyone, Well as we expected the weather for tomorrow is not conducive to safe group riding, especially adding in the wet leaves factor, so we cancelling tomorrow’s road rides. Would be good to see some take the off road options in its various guises, particularly our Fun/Leisure official ride that John is referring to. Great to mix the groups together for a change. Of course welcome to road ride unofficially at your own discretion. As ever reluctantly we have to take your safety as number 1 priority.  Reluctantly meaning we don’t like cancelling rides unless we really feel it … Read more…

YOGi Cycling AGM 16th September 2017

Hi All, It’s YOGi AGM time again and hence the start of our 7th year. Well 7th as a formal club that is but by the reckoning of some of our original group the 30th anniversary of our clubs name. so a fact worth putting out there.  As a club it’s great to be able to reflect that we have been part of a period when cycling went from being a minority sport to very much main stream. Once again the venue is St Paul’s Church Hall in Yelverton. All rides will start (or call in en-route) and end in the gravel … Read more…

2017 Prudential Ride London – Surrey 100 Team Entry

Hi all, As a British Cycling affiliated club I’m pleased to advise that for the third successive year we have been invited to apply for team places for the brilliant Prudential Ride London – Surrey 100. So based on previous years when the organisers have accepted a bigger percentage of female than male applications for the individual balloted places, I have requested two all male teams and one mixed team. Thinking it unlikely we can field an all female team, but to balance that I have said that if we are only offered one team place, then it will be a mixed team (2 … Read more…

MTB Ride For All (Cross/Gravel Bikes Also Welcome) – Saturday 11th February

As Saturday looks like being a raw ole’ day preceded by a decent dry spell, seems the perfect opportunity for a good long MTB ride usual start time of 09:00. I’m pretty sure most of this route can be ridden on a Cross/Gravel Bike too, though if that be your choice, do be aware that the ride aims to suit all levels so could be a tad slow on the climbs and a bit fast on the downs. We will see:)! Whatever it is going to be a club ride not an all-out suffer fest!  Plan is to stay reasonably low down … Read more…

Saturday ‘A’ Road Ride – 3rd December 2016

Hi All, This week we will skirt the edge of the moor and hopefully then find the slightly more sheltered roads and so away from the forecasted cold easterly winds. Even so best wrap up me thinks! Route we will take is:- Leigham – Little Down – Green Lane – Crapstone – Dousland  – Walkhampton – Horrabridge – Moreshop – Batterbridge – Tavistock (Coffee and Cake at Bobs Eastend Café) – Drakes Trail to Yelverton – Home. This route is just under 40 miles I recall. Looking forward to riding with those who are not going Christmas shopping yet!
