YOGi Cycling AGM – Saturday 15th September 2018

Hi All, Its YOGi AGM time again and hence the start of our 8th year as an affiliated club and (we think!) 31st of our existence. Truth is it was all so informal in those early days non of us can be certain. Anyway this year the venue is Roborough Village Hall, Roborough. All road rides will pass the venue en-route, that way anyone who wants to can leave warm/dry clothes for post ride comfort or even join your preferred ride there too. By the way if you choose to drive we advise parking on the road that bisects Roborough village, … Read more…

Note Change of Route – Leisure Road Ride – Saturday 16th June

Hi All As the original route is a poor choice in wet weather, we will save that for a suny day and head to Lopwell Dam. I wasn’t expecting the weather gods to decide our Saturday was a good day to take a break from being sunny😄😄 or should that be 😩! So all meet at Coypool as usual please👍 I’ve not been around for a Saturday ride for a while so looking forward this and to seeing some new and regular riders on this my very fav’ 30 mile route.

Saturday Leisure Ride – 14th April

To help ensure it does, if no other volunteers come forward then one of the committee will lead it, and for this ride it is my pleasure to take a turn. Ideally some of you who are reading this will be quite new to riding, not yet a club member but considering club cycling. It is a very enjoyable evening when following a three course meal a range of sports awards are made to both individuals and teams. End of Year Leisure MTB Ride – Saturday 30th December

Hi All i have been promising to do more of these and as the Saturday forecast suggests a wet one, and figure that rather than let the Christmas calorie intake be left any longer an MTB ride is a good idea👍 Meet at Coypool 9:00. Anyone welcome but it is meant to be suitable for those who want some real ‘Off Road’ riding but not a technical thrash ride. So that’ll be anybody with an MTB or even a Cross Bike then ( might be a few bits where getting off and carrying will be advisable😉).

ETA 10 am so anyone who prefers can meet us there then. I have a plan to leave my camper there so can be used as bag store but that is subject to me getting up early enough :)). Tomorrows Road Rides Cancelled

Hi everyone, Well as we expected the weather for tomorrow is not conducive to safe group riding, especially adding in the wet leaves factor, so we cancelling tomorrow’s road rides. Would be good to see some take the off road options in its various guises, particularly our Fun/Leisure official ride that John is referring to. Great to mix the groups together for a change. Of course welcome to road ride unofficially at your own discretion. As ever reluctantly we have to take your safety as number 1 priority.  Reluctantly meaning we don’t like cancelling rides unless we really feel it … Read more…

YOGi Cycling AGM 16th September 2017

Hi All, It’s YOGi AGM time again and hence the start of our 7th year. Well 7th as a formal club that is but by the reckoning of some of our original group the 30th anniversary of our clubs name. so a fact worth putting out there.  As a club it’s great to be able to reflect that we have been part of a period when cycling went from being a minority sport to very much main stream. Once again the venue is St Paul’s Church Hall in Yelverton. All rides will start (or call in en-route) and end in the gravel … Read more…
