Below I have copied and posted an email I have received from Ken Robertson, British Cycling’s South West representative. It is really for our female members; but any male members who have an interest would be very welcome too of course. For those who do not know Ken he is a very committed chap who volunteers a lot of his time to the cause of road racing (and indeed time trials).
Should you want to attend please respond to the address email@example.com and copy firstname.lastname@example.org, the latter simply because we would like to track any interest.
Good morning SW BC Secretaries in the RR and Circuit Racing Loop and members of the RR W/G plus SW BC Officials,
On Wednesday 30th August starting at 19.30 hours (door open at 19.15) there will be an open meeting to discuss the future of women’s racing in SW region, from novice events to higher category racing. All welcome, all topics covered and input most definitely encouraged.”..?
The venue is the Tedburn St Mary Football Club HQ – leave the A30 to the east of the village and turn towards the village. The playing fields are in 150 yards on the right hand side. There is ample parking. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
Please can you use every available means of contacting the women in your club / team plus those who wish to support women’s road and circuit racing in the SW and urge them to attend.
It would be useful if you could indicate how many from your club / team will be attending to David Walters who has an e-mail address of email@example.com
