Leisure Ride – Sat 18th June 2011

Hello Leisure Riders.

Keeping on a theme from Ian we too have decided to take in some lovely views this weekend. 🙂

So:

Meet 9am B&Q Coypool, Plympton or 10am Tamar Bridge

As you can see there is a choice of two meeting points for this Saturday’s Leisure Ride. The distance, if starting and finishing from B&Q is 37 miles; if you join from the Tamar Bridge and depart at Devonport it’s approximately 25 miles.

Once clear of Plymouth and Saltash the route takes the lanes from Hatt, Pillaton and Tideford before heading to St Germans and Port Eliot House where we have a very nice new café stop arranged – the cakes are fantastic!

From St. Germans we will pick-up the gently undulating A379, with its superb river views, back to the Torpoint Ferry. The whole route is very scenic and not too demanding. There is a bit of a hill after Pillaton but nothing that requires crampons!

The ride will be led by Kim Wiltshire and Rachael Darby. Please be aware that the Leisure ride will continue to ride at approx 12mph, if you wish to ride at a faster pace we recommend you head out with the steady ride. Full route here
