If you know of any youngsters that would like to get involved in cycling then please pass this on to them and spread the word. I’m posting on behalf of Sorrelle and Plymouth Youth Cycling who have a Road and Mountain Bike section.
Sorrelle has asked me to post this on their behalf….
It is that time of year again, where the late evening light has returned and we would like to start our regular Plymouth Youth Cycling coaching sessions again!
Our first youth cycling sessions will begin on Wednesday 7th May at HMS Raleigh. We ask you to arrive at 5.45 for a 6pm start and the session will finish at 7.30pm.
We welcome riders aged 10 -18
All riders and accompanying adults must be booked in by emailing me (see below), as all personnel must be accounted for on entry to HMS Raleigh.
Sessions will be led my myself or Anneliese Heard.
All sessions will be run by British Cycling Coaches and there will be some led rides on the road which will be led by insured and qualified British Cycling Ride Leaders which parents are more than welcome to attend should you wish to. Although riders are insured through the Ride Leaders when on the road, we would ask that riders at minimum have British cycling membership which is available through the British cycling web page.
On site coaching will focus on bike handling and race skills – great for those wishing to complete or are racing already.
Please do not hesitate to contact me at Plymouthyouthroad@gmail.com should you wish your child to attend. These sessions will run weekly but booking is essential!
