Saturday C Road Ride – 24th Sept

This week’s C ride will once again be led by Gavin Avery and his better looking assistant… 😀

Plan is for a trip to bandit country so it’s either B&Q for 9 or if you fancy a bit of a lay in we’ll aim to be at the bridge around 09:40. From there it’s the main road to Hatt before diving in to the lanes through to Callington. We’ll then head out through either Rilla Mill or Bathpool and up towards Pensilva. After the up comes the mostly down to Liskeard then we’ll blag our way through the lanes to Trerulefoot where it might be a bit of through and off to the Crafthole turn and hitting the coast road round to the cafe stop at Clifftop. The planned route after the cafe is round through Cawsand and Millbrook to Torpoint but there’s always the cheat’s option of straight back to Torpoint through Antony. About 60 odd miles for the full monty with a fair amount of climbing involved.

Cafe stop is around 40+ miles so bring food and eat it!! Pace will be as expected for a C ride. 🙂

Route sort of looks like this

Hopefully see you there for another fun day out on the bike

    Hi Chaps,
Are the times quoted Gavin time or Simon time?
I am going to try and ‘ambush’ the ride somewhere around Callington so watch out!
    Cheers

      Haha! I’ve missed you Mr L!! 🙂
That’ll be brilliant Adge, should be there around half ten I guess (Gav time) or slightly later (Simon time!) We’re coming in the lanes way from Hatt so if you haven’t found us by then I’ll give you a quick call before we head out of Callington.
      Cool!
