Saturday D **Century Ride** – 11th June

The sun is shining so let’s get riding! 🙂
Been a little while since we’ve had a century ride so what better than to get a long ride in while the weather is good!

The plan is to head out to Tavistock via The George and the main road before picking up the ToB route we rode a couple of years ago. So from Tavy it’s out through Lydford, Okehampton, North Tawton , Crediton and back to Exeter before turning for home via Haldon, Chudleigh, Bovey Tracey and the usual route back. Looks a bit like this!

Cafe stop will be at the Bike Centre in Haldon Forest after about 68 miles but no doubt we’ll have a quick pit-stop on the way. If you don’t fancy the full ride there are lots of options to shortcut, the obvious one being from Okehampton and back via Mortenhampstead and Bovey Tracey.

The aim is to ride it steady rather a beasting i.e. back it off on the hills, keeping together and maintaining a comfortable pace.

Meet at B&Q at 08:30 or the George at 08:45 (ish)

    Looking forward to this one.

Cheers Mike, the weather doesn’t look quite so clever now but we can always shorten the route if it gets a bit grim!

We’ll leave at 8:30 as originally planned but I’ll see you guys at The George… 🙂
