Saturday Road Ride Leaders

In order for our Saturday Road Rides to take place, we need volunteers to lead. If you can lead a ride or two (or even more) that would be fantastic and we would like to hear from you. There is a page of guidance and notes to help ride leaders and new riders here.

Our amazing club is run purely by volunteers. If you would like to do your bit, here’s your chance. Thank you!

Below is a list of ride dates and leaders, where we have them. If you wish to volunteer please leave a note in the comments section below. We will then update the list and contact you by email or through the YOGi messages nearer the time of your ride, requesting your route and to offer any help and advice.

    Weather looking a tad kinder this week;

    Ride leaders required for this weekend. If you can help out please let us know –
    10-12 leisure
    12-14
    14-16
    16-18
    18+
    Note- for the winter months only, if no ride leader comes forward by Friday evening for the 10-12 ride, this ride won’t go out on Saturday. Normal service will resume again in the spring

    Additional –
    Simon Pope had offered to run the 16-18 at a slightly slower pace for the next few weeks to encourage some of the 14-16 riders to try out this ride.
    He’s aiming for a 15-17 pace with only a few more miles than a normal 14-16 ride. We are hoping this will level out group ride numbers between rides as we approach the spring and summer season as riders become comfortable with pace and distance.

    Still needing ride leads for the 12-14, 14-16 and the 15-17 bridge ride to the 16-18 ( Si away this weekend)

    Note this is open to anyone whom has never lead before. It really is simple. All you need is a sense of direction, a planned route with cafe stop and the ability to count.

    Please let me know if you can help and we welcome a shadow leader approach

    I take the 14-16 out to Siblyback lake going through Minions.
    I post full route shortly.
