Shred Classic Plymouth Hoe – Sunday 13th May

The Shred Classic Bicycle Race returns to Plymouth Hoe for another evening of fast paced road cycling action. The Shred Classic is not your normal bike race; the short circuit, tight bends and risk of elimination make action the top priority. It’s exciting to watch and even more exciting to ride.

This year the Shred Classic follows on from a whole day of cycling as the Sky Ride mass participation ride visits the city. Bring your family along for a gentle pedal around the Sky Ride loop during the day and then get ready for the show on the Hoe as we move into the evening.

As usual we’ll have the rider hospitality area in full flow, commentary, DJ’s and riders will get the pro treatment.

Also look out for the YOGi tent on the Hoe

There’s 120 places for men and 30 women’s places available.

The race will follow this format.

4pm – Opening ceremony
4pm – 5.30 – Men’s Heats 1-6
5.30-6 – Women’s Heats 1-2
6-30 – Men’s Semi Finals
7pm – Women’s Final
7.15 – Men’s Final
7.30pm – Race Ends and Prize Ceremony

Prizes will be available for Primes in each race and there’ll be £100 cash prizes for the overall winners.

This is a brilliant event…to ride or watch either way….make sure you go along and support it.

The course is going to be shorter this year with more heats….so if you have a licence give it a go.
