Hi All Leisure Riders,
Once again it is my pleasure to lead this ride and after such a nice dry week we head on the Nature Watch Route:) which I’m sure its true to say has only been used once before and that was early winter.
We are likely to see what seems to be a plague of Pheasants, the odd one or two quite rare Little Egrets, Swans, all sorts of other waterfowl and the hustle and bustle in the trees as birdlife in general prepares for spring and what comes naturally :).
As ever I confess there are the usual hills to embrace but the first time we did this ride everyone coped just fine and anyway we will take them at a genuinely gentle pace and you will all reach the tops smiling.
Plym Valley Cycle path – Yelverton – Crapstone – Buckland Monochrum – Milton Coombe – Lopwell Dam (café stop at the Old Pump House) – Tamerton Foliot – Loosleigh Lane – Derriford Roundabout -Home (circa 30 miles)
As a reminder this ride will be ridden at an average speed of between 10 and 12 miles per hour max so is ideal for anyone who is looking to try our club rides for the first time as well as those who simply want to enjoy a social few hrs riding their bike.
Look forward to seeing a few new riders and reacquainting with all the regulars!
