Saturday A Road Ride – 2nd May…. train spotters delight ๐Ÿ™‚

So, forecast is a strong wind from the East for Saturday so we need that to push us home, hence a trip out to Buckfastleigh is the order of the day.

Route will take us out via Cornwood and into Ivybridge, a little headwind then as we head out past Wrangaton to Marley Head where we’ll take the lovely stretch down into Dartington.ย  Busy stretch of road next as we join the Totnes road out to the A38, tight group will be the order of the day and we then get rewarded with a cafรฉ stop at Buckfastleigh station…and given it’s a bank holiday they are bound to have some sort of event on for the train lovers ๐Ÿ™‚

After the cafรฉ it’s the normal and direct route back to Plymouth via Harbourneford and South Brentย before what will be a lovely tail wind blast down into Ivybridge and along the cycle path back to home.

Full route distance is 45 miles and ONLY 3,000ft of climbing (the head wind out may make up for that though ๐Ÿ˜‰ย  )
