Yogi AGM Saturday 14th September 2019 Location: Roborough Village Hall at 2pm Introduction by Steve Monk, with an explanation of the absences of Committee members Steve Clare, John Allen, Peter Grzelinski and Alex Haste. Finance update from Stephen Coker (Treasurer) confirming that there is currently £6600 in the bank. Money spent this year has been on road kit, the Christmas party last year at the Burrator Inn, a few items of MTB kit, and the cost of putting on this AGM. Route:HQ-George-Roborough-Denham Bridge-Chillaton-Tavistock(café stop at Bobs)-Walhampton-Yelverton-Roborough Hall(AGM)-HQ. 36 miles to AGM, back to HQ is 41m total, with 3718ft elevation. https://www.strava.com/routes/21665612
for those who don’t use facebook, here’s the message I have posted – This year there is no joint Christmas get together with the Yogi MTB’ers. So far we have an option to book the Nibana in Crownhill for around 40 people on the 15th November (Friday) Before we book I need to know potential numbers of people who would be interested in attending. If we have more than this we will try and find another venue, (possibly the Burrator Inn?). Price will be around £22 per person but will confirm once booked. So the forecast is for it to be dry after Friday’s rain. As we haven’t been out this way for a while (although Phil K almost made it to Salcombe on one ride while we were heading to Kingsbridge!) I thought we could a ride out to Salcombe, stopping at the Wink Prawn at North Sands. Terry has very kindly offered to lead this week. Here is his route – HQ, Lee Mill, ivybridge, Wrangaton, Cali X. Coffee at the Lazy Cow in Modbury. Return to HQ via Ermington and Ivybridge. Just over 30 miles and under 2000 feet.
Justin is leading this week, here’s his planned route – Bovey cafe 360 stop. Classic route to Beckaford Farm and Haytor. Back via Ashburton. Should be a fondo.
Dan Richmond has kindly offered to lead this week, here is his plans for the ride – I’ll take a 12-14 if there’s no other offers…probably Tregantle..rame head..seaton..cafe stop..hessenford and back to the ferry This is a round trip of about 50 miles from HQ
Unless we have a volunteer to lead the above ride, I’m down as cover for this weeks Leisure ride, so we will be heading out to the south hams, here’s the route – HQ – Lyneham – Yealmpton – Modbury – California Cross – Wrangaton Stopping at the A38 cafe (think its still called that?) return will be back Ivybridge – Lee Mill – Plympton – HQ 30 miles round trip. Alternative ride using the Great Southwest Sportive – Standard route (75 miles). Coffee stop Lydford and way home from Tavy via Horabridge not Pork Hill. Bill has posted the route/image on our club face book page. Pace will be 15+ Thanks Bill!
