Speedy Sendall and I are once again leading this week’s ride. Heading into God’s Country (Cornwall), leaving B&Q – City Centre – Torpoint Ferry (9:45) Torpoint – Antony. Then turning left up Antony Hill – turning right onto the B3247 – Portwrinkle – Trerulefoot (Windy Ridge cafe stop) – Blunts – Pillaton – Hatt – Saltash – back to B&Q.
This week’s ride will be lead by Steve Sendel and myself. The route is leaving B&Q heading along the Embankment – Elburton – Hooe – Staddon Heights – Kitley – Noss Mayo – Fleet – Modbury – California Cross – Wrangaton (cafe). Then 2 options: either returning through Ivybridge and back to B&Q or Ivybridge – Dragon Hill – Shaugh Bridge and through the lanes back to B&Q. Distance around 45 miles
Steve Preston has volunteered to lead this week’s ride. We will head to Hemerdon, Sparkwell, Cornwood, Tin Park, Cadover, Burrator, Walkhampton, Tavistock stop at Bob’s Cafe. Returning via Whitchurch, Horrabridge and then the back roads across the moors and back to B&Q. Distance is about 45 miles. Cheers Steve
Happy new year everyone. Let’s start the new year with a nice easy ride. Heading out to Buckfastleigh through Ivybridge – Wrangaton – South Brent – Marley Head – Dartington – railway station cafe then returning back to South Brent and Ivybridge and back to B&Q. Around about 45 miles.
This week’s ride is a social ride (fancy dress optional). We are heading for Wrangaton for coffee then up Dragon Hill, Sheeps Tor Burrator Inn for lunch and back to B&Q.
This week I am leading and we’re off to Lee Moor – Cadover Bridge – Sheep’s Tor – up Peek Hill – Princetown (Fox Tor Café) – down Pork Hill – Walkhampton – Yelverton and back to B&Q. We should all be back to get our hair and make up sorted ready for the big night out.
This week Ski is leading. He is taking us through Cattedown, Torpoint, Trerulefoot, cafe stop at Meinheniot, Seaton, second cafe stop at Tregantle, Torpoint and back to B&Q.
No away day this week so all the usual suspects are riding this week. Jim Merry has volunteered to lead this week’s ride. The route is a Buckfastleigh figure of 8. From B&Q up to Sparkwell, Cornwood, Ivybridge, South Brent, Dartington and on to Buckfastleigh. Cafe stop at the Devon Railway. Take the back roads back to South Brent and down the valley to Ermington, Ivybridge, Lee Mill, Plympton and B&Q. Distance is around 50 ish miles. This time we’re having an away day MTB at Cardinham Woods, Bodmin this Saturday. Meet at Waitrose car park, Saltash 8am or at Cardinham at 8:45am. Cafe stop on the way home at A38. All welcome for another great day on mountain bikes.
This week we are heading off to Cornwall. Leaving B&Q @ 9 heading through the city centre to the Torpoint Ferry (9:45) over to Torpoint – St John – Milbrook – Maker – Cawsands – Rame – Cliff Top Café. Then for those wanting a shorter route head for Antony – Torpoint and back to B&Q. The longer route from the café head to Portwrinkle – Narkers – Trerulefoot – St Germans – Sheviock – Antony – Torpoint and back to B&Q. Read more…
This week’s ride is being led by Ski. His route will leave B&Q at 9 heading for Saltash – Callington – just short of Launceston, turn right towards Milton Abbot – Tavistock. Cafe stop at Bob’s then onto Yelverton and back to B&Q.
Steve Sendel has organised an away day mountain biking around Haldon Forest. Meet at B&Q 8 o’clock or at The Ridge Cafe/Haldon Forest 8.45. There are toilets, showers, bike hire and even bike cleaning at the cafe, so come along and get muddy/mucky all welcome.
There is no ride leader for this ride at the moment. So turn up and choose a route.
