It seems like a good few weeks have passed since I last had the pleasure of leading the Leisure Ride but here we are it has come around again. I’m thinking that after a nice dry week we would simply do a repeat of my last route. Well that’s taking it the feedback was honest and everyone did enjoy the first version :).
As ever I confess there are the usual hills to embrace but the last time we did this ride everyone coped just fine and anyway we will take them at a genuinely gentle pace and you will all reach the tops smiling.
So route is:-
Plym Valley Cycle path – Yelverton – Crapstone – Buckland Monochorum – Milton Coombe – Lopwell Dam (café stop at the Old Pump House) – Tamerton Foliot – Loosleigh Lane – Derriford Roundabout – Home (circa 30 miles)
As a reminder this ride will be ridden at an average speed of between 10 and 12 miles per hour max so is ideal for anyone who is looking to try our club rides for the first time as well as those who simply want to enjoy a social few hrs riding their bike.
Look forward to seeing a few new riders and reacquainting with the regulars!
