Volunteers for Both a Permanent and the 2012-2013 Yr. Rolling Committee Member

Some of you will recall that last year at the AGM we announced the name (or rather names as it turned out following an equal number of votes) the first two members who had put themselves forward for taking on a 12 month role on the committee. Subsequently Lynda McTier and Sam Whittlesea were welcomed onto the committee. Sam left later on in the year as found he did not have the necessary time to give. We decided not to replace him because we were initially only looking for one rolling place on the committee.

As a committee we believe this is the perfect way to continue to bring innovative thinking and enthusiasm to the regular committee.  And believe us as we approach our 450th member there is a lot we can do to ensure YOGi Cycling continues its success.

On top of this you will have seen the separate ‘News’ item that Kim has decided to step down and following a reshuffle with Lynda McTier becoming a permanent member on the committee due to Rachael Darby leaving, we are now keenly looking for two volunteers.

There is only one real quality needed.  And that is an enthusiastic work ethic.  We are sure many of you fit that bill and see lots of examples on our web site, rides and social events.  Simply if you are genuinely interested then we want you to volunteer.  You’ve got to be in it to win as they say.

To put yourself forward for either/both the permanent and/or the rolling 2012 – 2013 membership year role(s), simply send a max 40 word statement saying why you would like to take on the role and e-mail it to info@yogicycling.com. Please do make it clear which position(s) you are applying for.  We eagerly await the flood!

If we have more than one volunteer for each position we will post your 40 word statements on the web site and ask members to vote via e-mail for their choice(s).

We will announce the result during this year’s AGM which will take place on Saturday 16th June 2012 at:

Please note – Deadline for volunteering is Wednesday 7th June

The Miners Arms, Hemerdon.

AGM details will be posted on the web site very soon but meanwhile put this date in your Smart Phones, calendars, back of the toilet door and don’t miss it!
