Following the 1 month trial period there has been unanimous demand from the regulars for this ride to become a permanent part of our weekly rides schedule so we are very grateful for the feedback and support. As promised we will be running a leaders advice and Q&A session and many thanks to all those who volunteered and now await with baited breath. What we hadn’t thought about is that at this time of the year it is not easy to find a free evening to get us all together, so we will now do this early in the new year.
Meanwhile we have had two stalwarts in Ray Cooke and Neil Carpenter who have agreed to lead this week’s ride. And as the Saturday weather gods are yet again said to be in our favour it makes sense to head over to SE Cornwall and try the new cafe at Portwrinkle (I believe the Cliff View is closed for a few weeks while the patrons are taking a well earned holiday but welcome to check on the way past if you jointly prefer that option).
So route is:-
Torpoint Ferry via Cattedown Wharves – St John – Millbrook – Cawsand – Whitsand Bay – Crafthole/Portwrinkle (try new cafe here)- Double back along the coast road to the Anthony left turn – Anthony – Torpoint – Coypool.
Please do remember this ride will average 12 mph max so if that is too slow for you choose one of our other Saturday options as we expect no one to overtake the ride leaders.
