Saturday ‘14’ Road Ride – 8th September

This week’s Young Old Gender indifferent’ 🙂 14 ride will be a 60 mile jaunt in the sun to Seaton.  With full sun forecast we are heading up the cycle track to pick up those late starters at Yelverton before heading via Whitchurch and Horrabridge to Tavistock.  We’ll follow the road past the school and alongside the canal before climbing and turning right towards Gulworthy, then a lovely drop into Gunnislake and a nice gentle climb out!!! over to Callington.

From Callington we’ll head south towards Tideford, hopping over then to Polbathic and the climb out and drop down into Downderry and our coffee stop at Seaton.

Post coffee it will be a run along the coast in the glorious sun that is forecast 🙂 🙂 back to Torpoint and the ferry, those with time and the inclination can extend the route back by taking in Kingsand and maybe even another coffee stop at Freathy..it is after all going to be a fantastic sunny day!!…:-)

Total distance is about 60 miles.  As stated on the can we will try and average 14 for the ride, so those hot shots who want a blast try the ’16’ and any who may struggle try the ’12’

Route is here for those who wish a closer look
