Gary Walsh is going to lead the Saturday 14 this week and he has a route that I don’t think you’ll have done before in store for you all. 🙂
His words as follows:
We will leave Coypool and head towards the Tamar bridge via Church Hill (Eggbuckland), any riders wishing to join us at the Tamar Bridge should aim to be there at 09:45 for a prompt pick up. From there we will head out through Hatt and then through Polborder where we will join the A388 again for approximately 1 mile. We will then drop down to the Tamar valley and the lovely climb back up through Harrowbarrow and Rising Sun after which we will reach our coffee stop at Louis Tea Rooms on Kit Hill.
After our coffee we will head over the top of Kit Hill and drop down into Luckett, over Horsebridge and back out of the valley to Chipshop. From here we will go into Tavistock and follow the main road out towards Horrabridge and Yelverton then back along Roborough down into Plymouth.
Ride distance will be approximately 47 miles. If however anyone wishes to do further you can of course take on Pork Hill & Merrivale out of Tavi and then come back in through Princetown.
Here is the approximate route:
Please remember people that this ride is aimed for those that wish to ride around 14mph average. Please respect this and do not pull the group on and remember to respect the group leader.
