Hmmm, looking like a wet and wild weekend so could be time to invoke rule #9 and of course rule #5 🙂
Having said that, in an attempt to avoid the worst of the weather thought we’d head to Cornwall. So it’s over the bridge and into the back lanes at Hatt and across to Callington. Then we drop down to Newbridge and up the other side following the A390 to Merrymeet and Liskeard. Out past the station we then head to Duloe, down the hill to Looe and up St Martins Hill back to Hessenford where we turn for Seaton and Downderry. Back to Tregantle and around the coast to Cawsand, Millbrook, St John and back to the ferry at Torpoint.
Total route is around 66 miles and can be found here
Suggested cafe stop is the Cliff Top cafe after 48 miles but there are options to stop in Liskeard, Looe or Seaton depending how wet we are – just bring plenty of food to keep you going! Also plenty of options to shorten the route depending on the mood of the group and weather, we might even opt for the Cremyll Ferry and another coffee at R&R!
As with last week pace will be steady and according to the riders who are out. No excuses James or Steve!! 😉
