This weeks route is a kind of reverse loop out to Cornwall and back through Tavistock.
From B&Q we’ll head off to the Torpoint ferry aiming to catch the 9:45 ferry. From Torpoint it’s through Polbathic to Hessenford and up the climb to Widegates where we’ll turn for Morval. After the descent it’s up again to Duloe and on to Dobwalls & Minions. Then down to Upton Cross and Rilla Mill before picking up the familiar route round to Kelly Bray. We’ll sneak around the back of Kitt Hill and on to Gunnislake before completing our first climb up to Gulworthy. Then back down to the bridge and repeat the climb with Niall (TWCC) who will be a long way in to his Everesting challenge! Finally it’s on to Tavistock and back through Whitchurch to Yeleverton and home. 🙂
Full route is about 69 miles including a couple of goes at Gunnislake (the easy side!). Plenty of options for a cafe stop at Minions, Kitt Hill or Tavistock depending on how we’re feeling, but come well supplied just in case.
Pace will be STEADY! Honest 😀
