Saturday 16A Road Ride – 1st February

This week’s ride will be led by Jim Scott:

This weekend we’ll crack in a century ride to Bude. At the moment the weather forecast is a bit changeable so, if it’s horrid on the day, the route can easily be shortened but hopefully it will be OK. The route is out past the ski lodge, airport and onto the moor. Off the main road to get over Denham bridge and then due north to Lewdown. Along the old A30 towards Launceston but turn off beforehand to get to Holdsworthy. Then west to Bude and then down the coast at Widemouth bay. Back inland onto the A39 and a steady climb before heading South East towards Launceston again. Cross the A30 to South Petherin, Callington, Hatt and back over the bridge. Cafe stop in either Bude or Widemouth bay.
This will be run at a steady pace throughout – no threshold thrashing or lactate inducing climbs. The aim is for all to get back tired but happy!! Strava route below.
