As it’s my turn to enjoy the company of our Leisure Riders I’ve waited as long as poss’ just to look at the weather forecast. As it happens seems there is a small chance of a frosty morning, hopefully only minor stuff, but whatever that is sufficienct to wipe out my plan of taking you all to Lopwell Damn on another nature watch! Shame!!
So its back to my other favourite ride and that is yep South East Cornwall, but this time a slight difference in that we will take it in the anticlockwise direction. By the way this route tends to be less likely to be icy as it stays low :). Well okay it does for the first hour so yep there are the delights of some lumpy bits!
So route is:-
Embankment – Cattedown Wharves – Barbican – Plymouth Hoe – Millbay – Torpoint Ferry – Anthony – Tregantle – Whitsand Bay (cafe stop at the lovely Cliff Top Cafe – Kingsand – Maker – Millbrook – St John – Torpoint and back to Coypool.
As a reminder this ride is aimed at those who like to ride around 30 miles at a max of 12 mph average speeed, so perfect for those who are giving our club rides a first taste, prefer the relaxed atnosphere of this sort of ride or simply recovering from some er tough turbo sessions………..
Look forward to meeting any new riders and the Leisure Ride regulars!
