It’s my turn again to have the pleasure of leading the ride and I’m gonna be boring and head to SE Cornwall for my very favourite jaunt. Well we are being promised a warm (ish) and sunny day and it is a Bank Holiday weekend so what better 30 mile ride is there! Yes a ‘Heads Up’ (or a reminder to some) it is hilly but they will
So route is:-
Cattedown – Barbican – West Hoe – Millbay – Torpoint Ferry (see note below though!) – St John – Millbrook – Maker – Cawsand – Whitsand Bay (cafe stop at the Cliff Top Cafe) – Tregantle – Anthony – Home (circa 30 miles)
As a reminder this ride is aimed at those who like to have a social steady ride with an average speed of between 10 and 12 mph. Therefore an ideal ride for anyone who is ‘bike fit’ and wanting to try out the added enjoyment of ridng with like minded people, those simply wanting to sample our club culture.
As ever look forward to seeing some regualr and any new faces!
Of all our rides this is one we always plan to have a leader for as we are keen to ensure we offer the perfect ride for the less experienced riders, however please do not rely on meeting at the Torpoint Ferry. This is because should there be a very small take up at Coypool we will consult and come up with another plan, maybe even combine with the ‘A’ Ride but adding in a quick way home.
