A thank you and welcome back to Mike Everett, who has very kindly offered to lead the Leisure ride this week. His plan is as follows;
SATURDAY 9.1.16. Leisure Ride.
Now is the time to start ridding ourselves of those extra pounds we may have added over the festive period. The Leisure ride this week has a few climbs early on and then becomes easier. The route is:
B&Q 0900. The through Woodford to Boringdon Hill and up past Elfodleigh to Cann Woods. Just past Cann Woods we will take a right turn down some lanes towards Tory Brook. A little climb sees us on the road to Lee Moor village and the climb of Deux Alpes. At the top we will head towards Cornwood and Ivybridge and then to Wrangaton Junction for our café stop. After we are refreshed we will continue to Wrangaton go over the A38 and follow the road to Ermington and on to Ivybridge and the usual route back via Lee Mill and Deep Lane.
Lets hope for kind weather. Distance circa 33 miles. Elevation gain 2200 feet or so. Average speed 11 to 12mph.
