Spring Sportive Centurion Training #4 – 11th April

Thanks to Steve Sendall for offering another 100 mile sportive training ride:

After last month’s TOUGH ride I thought something a tad easier. So, as promised, Bude is on the cards this month.

So it’s a 08:00 start at B&Q. Saturday the 11th. See the link at the bottom of this post for the route Read more…

Century Road Ride – Saturday 17th May

Simon Pope has a plan for a nice century ride this Saturday here are his words:-  This route was my first ever century ride route and a good one at that. Easter “Bunnyhop” Century Ride – Monday 1st April

Did you put your clocks forward?? It’s now BCT – British Cycling Time!!

We’re starting it tomorrow by riding the Teignmouth Century route. This is a relatively kind 100 mile route with most of the climbing in the first half and a fairly rolling second half.

Meet at B&Q at 09:30 – a compromise due to the clocks going forward on Saturday evening! (making the mornings seem earlier!) We’ll then head to Les Deux Alpes and a clockwise loop up over Dartmoor to Exeter and then back around the coast to Teignmouth before cutting back inland towards Ashburton and back to Plymouth. Bank Holiday Century Ride – Monday 4th June

Here’s another chance to ride one of the “kindest” century rides in the area and a great confidence booster for any of you riding your first 100 mile Dartmoor Classic (at the end of the month!!).

On this bank holiday Monday we’ll be riding the YOGi Teignmouth Century. Most of the climbing is finished within the first half with the remaining roads being mainly rolling. Lunch will be at Teignmouth where we generally buy provisions from the nearby shops and picnic on the grass. When we finally rise from our slumber (and straighten our stiffened legs) there will only be another 35 miles to ride. Read more…
