From Plymouth the quickest route is via the A38, turn off at Ashburton junction, past the garage and signposted towards Two Bridges or Princetown. Hi All, Its the 1st Saturday of the month so time for the MTB Fun ride again. This week we will be meeting the large rock on the old airfield, first left before you reach Yelverton roundabout @10am. We will be driving onto an alternative start point to be announced on the day……….. The suspense is killing me:-) Remember we will be stopping off at the Burrator inn for a pub meal afterwards, so bring a spare change of clothes and some cash. On on Windy
Last Saturday we had a great turnout of 14 riders and 1 dog in perfect weather. We started from Cadover bridge, heading up onto the moor. This video shot by Windy was just a small part at the start of the route but gives a bit of a feel for what our MTB rides are like. Hopefully it will be the first of many.
For this “3rd Saturday” Fun Ride we are going down to Cardinham Woods Trail centre.

Seven of us met at Yelverton for what looked like a blustery 3rd Saturday Fun Ride. It turned out nicer than expected though as is so often the case. We travelled out to a Carpark just south of Beliver Tor – Tom, convinced that we were meeting at Quarry carpark kindly checked that no one else had misread the website and called in there on the way just make sure. Riding this this ride were: Roger and Penny Eyre, Emily Johns (on her second ride with us), Tom Nickson, Andy Westcott, Penny Allan and yours truly. As Penny A and I had … Read more…
Riders: Lynda, Dave, Simon, Simeon, Steve F & Tom After a bit of a frosty start first thing, a blue bird sky and a light warm breeze was the order on meeting at the Burrator quarry car park – this is October right? Both Windy and John were not around, so Lynda and Dave had stepped in to lead the ride at the last minute. Steve and Sim were both a bit hazy from a few jars the night before (and been due to be in work), so the only solution was a good blast to sweat it out. With … Read more…
