Yep, according to the BBC weather at this time the forecast for Saturday is….WET, WILD and WINDY! 🙁 So, trying to plan a sheltered (ha ha) route as possible, not too long, but still worthwhile…hence it’s off to Buckfastleigh for a bit of train spotting it is! 🙂
Route will take us out via Sparkwell and Cornwood, around the back of Ivybridge, up to Wrangaton and through South Brent to Marley Head. Now here is the really great bit of road down into Dartington, and this week with a pretty strong wind to help us along! 🙂 From Dartington it’s the busy main road across to Buckfastleigh and our café stop, fuel up well here as the homeward stretch back into Plymouth is the normal route back via Harbenford, South Brent, Wrangaton, and Ivybridge…all into a forecast 40kt head wind! Strong ones to the front please! 🙂

45 miles with less than 3,000ft of climbing…easy, until you take in that weather forecast!
