Sunday Road Ride – 7th July
Wowsers, what fantastic weather!! 🙂 Sooo…. we are off to Slapton to get ourselves a bit of Sunday sea salt air! We will be meeting at B&Q at 10:00 and riding to Torcross via Ivybridge, Gara Bridge, Morleigh and Kingsbridge. Cafe stop will be in the Torcross Boat House. The return journey will be along Slapton Ley, up to Strete and then back to Plymouth via Morleigh, South Brent and Ivybridge. Pace will be around 14mph average. All welcome for some fun in the sun!

As most of you are aware I have been the Women’s Rep for the club. However, I am no longer able to continue due to working shifts, which means I am not available for many weekend’s now. YOGi Gals Only Road Ride – Saturday 2nd March
Well March has come around very quickly indeed and this means it is time for the next YOGI Gals ride! 😀
We’ll meet as usual at B&Q, Coypool at 9am in the car park at the far end.
The route we shall take will be Ivybridge, Bittaford, Wrangaton, South Brent, Marley Head, Dartington to Buckfastleigh where we shall stop for coffee and cake at the Station Cafe. Saturday 16 Road Ride – 12th January
This week Jim Scott has kindly offered to lead the 16 ride. Here is his route From B&Q 9 am start , the plan is to ride out to Launceston via Denham bridge, Chillaton and Lewdown. Stop somewhere in Launceston for a light refreshment (I’ve not stopped there before so open to suggestions) and then return via Liskeard, Menheniot, Trerulefoot and Torpoint; a quick breather on the ferry before heading home. A fairly flat 70 miler so nothing too taxing, just good solid base training. Jim
Saturday 14 Road Ride – 12th January
This week Jez Ralph and Holly Russell are going to take the lead! 🙂 The route as per Jez is below for you: Sat 14 will be to Loddiswell: The weather forecast looks grey, damp and mean. Perfect for heroic winter cycling to a café for coffee and cake so we’ll be heading east to Ivybridge to pick up folk from those parts at around 9.45ish. Saturday 12 Road Ride – 12th January
This week Gavin Avery is going to lead you all and Debbie McCall has kindly offered to assist him too. 🙂 The route as per Gavin is as below: From our starting point at B&Q, we will head out to Ivybridge via Lee Mill. We’ll then go over the bridge (back over the A38) and take the left turn down into Ermington. From there we head up the Erme Valley (avoiding the wall!) towards Wrangaton but, at the junction, we’ll make a right turn for California Cross. We’ll be heading out from B&Q at 9am, heading up Les Deux Alps, Cadover Bridge and will pick up any latecomers/country dwellers at the Burrator Inn at 10:00 to 10:15.
Saturday 12 Road Ride – 22nd December
Let the festivities begin!
And indeed they will be, for this week Carl Hutchings (alias Ski) and Ray Cooke are leading the Saturday 12 for a special Christmas cocktail of fun!
Firstly, the order of the day is fancy dress. So come on you Sat 12 YOGi’s, dig out your glad rags and get to it. Dress up yourselves, your helmets and/or your bikes as much as you dare! Obviously this is not compulsory but Ski and Ray can promise you that there will be much banter, laughter and fun on the ride for this week. 🙂

The Saturday 14 is going to be led by our one and only Mr Chris Glazier this week! 😉 He wants you all to partake of some fresh sea air, as it is supposed to be good for the lungs I understand…., so you are heading across the Torpoint ferry to Seaton in Cornwall. Well after last weeks awful weather, let us try again! So here we go!
Graham Lang is going to lead the Saturday 14 this week and you are off to Slapton, with the option of a shorter route if you do not wish to go the whole distance. Details are below:
This Saturday’s route is an approx distance of 65 miles with a 50 mile option, if you wish to cut off.
The group will head out from B&Q via the Ridgeway, Lee Mill, Ivybridge and Wrangaton towards California Cross. Here we take a left and climb from Gara Bridge to Morleigh. Read more…
