Dear All Please find attached, Minutes from Septembers Committee meeting. Regards The Committee
Hi All, Just to confirm that following our committee meeting on 19th July, we agreed that club rides will continue to be run as currently. Reminder of those details below. Volunteer ride leaders please continue to advise the route, pace and the max number of riders up to a maximum of 10 riders. Once again a big thanks to those who have led rides throughout the pandemic and to anyone else who volunteers in the future. To join a ride continue to add your name until the ride is full. Only enter your name if you are definitely riding. Should … Read more…
Hi all, Please find details of the next phase of our COVID-19 restricted rides. Firstly though a big thank you to those of you who have been volunteering and posting rides on our FB page over the last few months, very much appreciated. It is feedback from ride leaders that has led to this next phase of our lockdown rides that some prefer to lead smaller groups. However we also want to enable as many members as safely possible to join group rides. Therefore with immediate effect, if you want to lead a ride please continue to advise the route, … Read more…
Hi all, The great news is that as from 29th March we are allowed to recommence group rides. Initially we have chosen to only run with groups of no more than 6. We believe that to ride with any bigger size group whilst maintaining the required social distancing is likely to cause disruption on the roads. We will be reviewing this regularly and respond with changes accordingly. To keep it simple all rides will meet and depart from Coypool. Those of you who are willing to lead a ride, and we thank you now if you are: please post on … Read more…
Hi All, Following the latest governments COVID-19 briefing today and the return to lockdown, regrettably all club rides are cancelled until further notice. We will update when things change, so meanwhile hopefully you can make the best of it and enjoy riding on your own or with members of your household within the spirit of being allowed to exercise during the lockdown. What else can we say other than roll on the end of this pandemic and the resumption of normality.
Hi All, Further to the latest COVID 19 briefing this evening, once again we have to formally cancel all club rides until further notice When things change we will update straight away, meanwhile you will be able to continue riding with your household or yourself. There are no obvious rules yet about how far/ how often so it’s up to us all to make our own judgement. What else can we say but roll on the end of this awful pandemic and the resumption of normality.
Hi All, Following the Governments announcement on Saturday 31st October and in line with the renewed National Lockdown restrictions. Unfortunately with immediate effect we are cancelling all club rides until further notice. Continuing to remain both physically and mentally healthy, is still very important. So we recommend that members continue to use our Facebook page, to organise 1:1 rides. Which are currently still allowed. The Facebook page can still also be used for advice on Routes and of course the usual banter. We wish you and your families the best through these uncertain times. Please do follow the Governments/NHS’s advice and … Read more…
Hi all, Finally some good news for cycling clubs! The UK Cycling affiliations have given the go ahead for the resumption of group rides with a max of up to 6 people. All rides that meet this criteria can be sanctioned under our club rides insurance. We have discussed our approach via email and believe there will be a mix of opinions with some very keen to ride and others not.So our starting point is to gauge interest from you. The biggest challenge to putting rides on will be having a ride leader for every group of 6. Leaders must receive … Read more…

Hi all, After last years lack of opportunity (some confusing comms you may recall), this year we have been given the heads up again to apply for team places so I have requested the usual 3 team places. One all male, one all female and one mixed (at least one male/female I believe this time round). I have stated that if we are only offered one team place, then it will be a mixed team. Now for the crux of it: if you want to be considered please let me know by emailing me at email@example.com by 24th March stating whether … Read more…
Hi all, planning a get together on Saturday 21st March, meeting at the Marina bar at 7pm (Sutton Harbour) everyone welcome. We can decide where to go from there.
With Strong winds and Heavy rain predicted YET AGAIN!!! 😭 Unfortunately we have no choice but to cancel Official road rides tomorrow (29th Feb) with the safety of our members a priority. Those who do venture out do so at their own risk. Stay safe peeps
Hi All, It will be no surprise that we are cancelling all road rides for tomorrow (Saturday 15th Feb), the weather forecast is leaving no doubt that group riding on the road will be too risky. So putting the message out now so you can make other plans. Such as dusting off your MTB and go off roading, (away from trees naturally!).
